If those DMs are real, shouldn't they have been gathered from Twitter directly during the discovery phase to prove their veracity? That's an honest question. I don't really know how the gathering of digital documents for legal cases works.

I think he's right in the sense that the sales of trades and manga in bookstores don't speak to the health of specialist comic book stores and single issue sales (I think that's the point he's trying to make??) But he kind of buries that lede beneath his nonsense value judgment.

The fact that trades, GNs, and manga are selling well in general isn't a sign of the health of comic book stores, was my point. I say this as someone who's LCS mostly deals in trades and manga and doesn't carry single issues from Marvel and DC, only Dutch ones.  They've been doing very well for themselves and moved to a bigger location a few years ago. No idea how they've been doing since the shutdown, though.

That was the best of Ennis' work besides Punisher MAX in my opinion, and I was hoping the rest of his work with Aftershock would be just as good. Alas.
