I just wanna say two things:
1) atomisation of nations is a good socialist method towards breaking down the westphalian nation state model and moving us closer to a border transcending internationalist paradigm,

2) it is healthy for english people, whether socialists or not, to occasionally encounter harsh socio-cultural and political criticism from their neighbours in these blighted isles, even when hyperbolic. Even the most empathic of lefty anglos suffers from a touch of chronic tannery.

As bad as a the rent situation in Dublin or Galway is I'm not sure it's quite as bad as what was inflicted on Ireland by British rule.

You might be happy to know that Joanna Cherry seems to be trying to use "SNP endorses the nasty abuse I get from trans people for my Completely Normal views" as a way of winning the selection process against Angus Robertson and I fully expect it will backfire, hopefully expelling or at least reducing the TERF presence within the party.

McAlpine has been very quiet about it recently, if Cherry tries to weaponise it and loses I think that's game set and match for the youth wing and trans rights in the snp. Hopefully.

Also stuart campbell might launch his own party, especially for terfs and twitter check marks.

If you're talking about Neale Hanvey, he did not do any holocaust denialism. As far as antisemitism goes the cartoon Hanvey shared is very very mild, and if the investigation concluded that he didnt mean it and is genuinely apologetic, that's fine. They still dropped him in the middle of an election and it could have cost them the seat.

So I started applying for UC as in self employed and we were told that's where the SSP is going to come from for self employed people, but the website doesn't seem to have been updated to reflect the lifting of restrictions. It still asks me to make a joint application because I live with my partner and she's technically still working. I don't want to get done for welfare fraud, what do I do?

Not sure if I saw it in this thread or somewhere else but I'm looking for an image illustrating the effect of social distancing. It was a horizontal image tracing infections, multiplying with each stage. They had individuals grayed out with a little thing about 'X decided to work from home on this day and wasn't infected' and then the potential infections from them also grayed out with the final stage being like 50% grayed out.

It was a really nice visualisation of how social distancing is meant to help but I can't seem to find it. Came across something similar (vertical design) but it only had like 2 jumps and didn't have a potential infection spread from people who avoided getting infected. Can anyone help? Want to continue publicising it.

Quick question that I don't imagine anyone will be able to answer confidently given how vague everything is, but if my self employment income has dried up EXCEPT for a very small little part, am I better off stopping that small part as well in case the government goes "look you're still working, no 80% for you, no SSP, gently caress off"? Got really worried all of a sudden and losing the potential long term support for a tiny amount right now that might not even carry on would be... not so great.
