Being raised in white suburbia, USA, I had basically no access to non-dubs pre-2000, but I watched Tekkaman Blade (Teknoman), Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors), and Escaflowne as they were airing here. I was able to snag VHS Hong Kong sub rips of the DBZ movies off eBay in the late '90s, and I had friends who ran the Otakon AMV competition for late 90's, so I got copy rips of all the submitted videos.

Meh. Diebuster is ok. It lost me when the ending doesn't actually sync with Gunbuster's ending but tries to pull it off anyway. Gunbuster is deffo where it's at, though.
