When a party produces something in discovery, it gets numbered for easy reference and authentication. This is kept in the Master BATES file for easy cross reference when trying to find a specific document.

The defense is relitigating what Jones did or didn't do when he's already been found guilty, and the judges in these cases telling the defense daily that they're not allowed to do that. I do understand your point, but the plaintiffs should not play the game the defense is trying to play.

I think at a certain point you just get desperate enough to throw poo poo at the wall and see what sticks. He had nothing to lose by trying. Even pissing off the court isn't a negative because I'm not sure they can get more pissed than they already were.

Jones got a huge bump from Sandy Hook. It was part of the trial, how they would watch his viewership and store metrics and get a massive increase from talking about it. Of course there are dozens of other insane conspiracies he can go off on, and he will if he's smart. But I can see him being dumb enough that Sandy Hook occupies an outsized space in his mind. It's like a gambler obsessed with a slot machine that gave him a big win once, even tho there are plenty more just like it in the casino.
