Don’t think I’ve ever had emotional sports whiplash like that. I had already stopped caring about winning or losing because of all the mistakes and getting 12th manned to hell, because even with all that the offense was downright watchable for the first time in eight years. But then that ending happened and I went to bed sunken into the most poisonous pessimism about the team’s future. We just had a coach with terrible clock management! How did we get someone WORSE?!

I’m personally just a little bit mad that they’re squandering such an impressive defense. We would have mostly wins this year if we had anything other than the worst offense in the league I really want Hackett gone but I’m worried the injuries will provide cover for him

I feel it prudent to note that Mahomes is now 14-0 against Denver. John Elway was 17-12 for his career against the Chefs, and never had a streak of more than 3 wins. So no more whining about the 80s and 90s, if you please.

Watched the Denver/Arizona highlights and it was like a preseason lineup. Just two miserable teams throwing their junior varsity squads into the melee because the schedule says they had to. I feel bad for anybody who paid to watch it. At least Justin Simmons had a good day.

The loss of Javonte Williams had an under-appreciated impact, to say nothing of an offensive line that is unrecognizable compared to the start of the season. So this leads to a warped sense of optimism for next season. We might find ourselves back to Teddy Bridgewater levels of of scoring!
