That documentary is killing me because it’s widescreen and so they cropped off the top quarter of the onboards and it’s just grey track left.

(Or maybe that’s to stop copyright strikes, but do not like.)

Bad track, bad host country, bad cars. Not sure you want to get too worked up right now. Save your excitement for a real circuit or Baku.

There’s only been two races and I can remember things from them, it can’t be that bad:
1) when Max was on a screaming quali lap but ran into the wall on the last corner
2) when Max made Hamilton run into him

This is F1 adjacent, ish: I happen to be in Nashville this week and there are a ton of motorcycle team haulers parked near Nissan Stadium. Including Red Bull KTM. Is there a US series like MotoGP?

Aha, it’s supercross:

Switching the second RB car main sponsor to a clothing brand you can’t get in the US just when F1 takes off in the US is :chefskiss:

Like look at this list of shipping countries! They even have Canada but not the US.

What's the fastest way to spin up on F1? I impulse bought super expensive tickets to the Monaco Grand Prix which includes a "Reception with legendary driver" so I figure I should kind of know something about F1.

I think we are glossing over that the “legendary driver” is just going to be someone 90% of fans haven’t even heard of.

I mean if they get the typical “Florida Afternoon Downpour” there’s no way they’re going to even try racing until it passes lol. I can’t imagine that track will drain even slightly on its own. It’s completely flat and encircled by tecpro?

For all of the hype people were giving De Vries about how he was going to be the leader at Alpha Tauri, he's proving himself to be the next Grosjean and Yuki is absolutely crushing him.

Is Yuki actually decent this year? Consistently scoring 10th or 11th isn’t going to get you many points but it’s better than retiring or being 17th.

It's a minor benefit, but the driver feeds are kinda fun sometimes. You can get some interesting video about pitlane procedure by team, amusing "lap of shame" drives back to pit after crashes, and most importantly Yuki's messages to his engineer uncensored. It's also neat to watch races and hear just the track sounds with no commentary.

I wish it was a little more watchable as a primary feed. Like if they had the timing tower graphic and the option for commentary, you could watch a whole race from your favorite driver and still know what was going on.

I guess most people who use it during a race have some kind of multi viewer?
