The situation at bakhmut appears to be grim. The bridge is leading to the east of town have been destroyed as Ukraine continues to move troops to the west side of town. Now there's a pretty large water crossing on the east side and I would surmise that Russia is going to close in the pincers instead of going off frontal assault on this but that could definitely be wrong.

Solov almost got killed in vuhledar. This is important because he's one of Putin's leading propaganda mouthpieces. So for him to literally almost get shelled is quite interesting in comparison to Biden rolling up to Kyiv in a train and hanging out. Aswell as Zelensky visiting the Frontlines with no reprisal.

I doubt that the ukrainians were specifically targeting him.


In other news and kadyrov apparently is having a crisis of the kidneys. People are claiming that he has been poisoned. As the kidneys backup once the liver starts to fail it could be other things.

With this poisoning we could see a reconcentration of power however this may not be by Putin exactly but by other elements in the Russian government who are trying to solidify their grasp on the future post Putin Russia.

More time will tell.

It has been a prepared defensive position even before the 2022 invasion, and when Ukraine retreated from Severodonetsk, Bakhmut was the planned fallback position. Bakhmut is now strategically important because once again it is the fulcrum on which Ukrainian counter-offensives operate on, and this time it's going to be towards the Sea of Azov. The more Russians are at Bakhmut, the fewer there are elsewhere.

That's a decent amount of tanks and a great number of artillery systems taken out. The Ukrainians have been focusing a lot on artillery for the past few months so seeing double digit systems out of action on the daily will help upcoming offensives.

Also they lost 13 UAVs lol, they really don't have a lot of those to be losing double digits in a day

Yeah for those who don't know, the Kamchatka was a Russian supply ship on the Voyage of the Damned, who nearly started a war with the United Kingdom. Off the coast of England the Kamchatka decided she had spotted Japanese torpedo boats (OFF THE COAST OF ENGLAND. JAPANESE. TORPEDO BOATS) and started firing at them. They were British fishing trawlers. In the ensuing fire fight the Russians managed to kill one British sailor, but also one Russian sailor and a Russian chaplain, therefore managing to lose a naval battle against a handful of unarmored fishers.

After repeated similar incidents even the Russian fleet had had enough of the Kamchatka and told her to fall back to the rear of the formation and stop trying to start world wars.
