There's been a lot of theorycrafting on the lore behind some of the visual design choices in this arc. Xipe was supposed to have assimilated Ena at the end of the Swarm Disaster, but what impact did this have on those who followed Ena.. or on Xipe themselves? Ena is strongly associated with eye imagery that Xipe lacks, but there are several times in this arc where we have run into eye imagery in places it probably should not be so strongly featured.

With all the meme dialogue options, I'm extremely mad I never had one referencing "Fight for all that is beautiful in the world." :colbert:

If we ever do we are going to be in some serious poo poo.

*What is UP with all the Roman Catholic stuff in Sunday's backstory? The confessional scene(I was raised catholic and this literally gave me flashbacks), the relationship between the merchant in the confessional and Sunday was quite reminiscent of the concept of indulgences, the Latin song names, the idea of a dead god coming back to life(not specific to catholicism but it's there), the strong emphasis on faith giving one strength, Sunday's assertion that people cannot save themselves and can only be saved by a god, his loving name lol, Sunday as a christ figure sacrificing himself to save everyone else(from his perspective)

For this one, Ena has powerful Abrahamic God coding, this all knowing divine being who Has A Plan that is mysterious and unknowable, but will lead everyone to prosperity. The problem being, Ena had no follow through. When a civilization arrived at its 'intended target' THEY would lose interest and move onto the next civilization, and the abandoned civilization would implode because it no longer had an Aeon doing central planning.

He has actually mentioned him before but we didn't know the players as well.

It's suspiciously like they're teasing the idea that we might have to fight a former Nameless at some point. He doesn't sound like a particularly nice person.

The IPC in general is kind of short on 'nice people' on a surface level, but they've also been very good about not putting outright supervillains in the gacha. That Aventurine has a funny sort of camaraderie with Topaz, and appears to respect Jade and Diamond but has little love for Oswaldo may tell us something.
