I think there's a lot of bad posting from thread regulars and there's also a lot of bad posting outside of the thread from the sagas/qcs crew. I think probing thread regulars for the zealous covid acolyte posts and pearl clutching posts is good. But I also think the low effort shitposting or the drive-by bad posts that are intended to get a rise from thread regulars should also get probed. I also think it's fine if "outsiders" post in the thread earnestly and aren't just posting 100 times a day essentially posting "mad??". Good job thread, you've turned me into a pro prober

To be clear, people making fun of your posts or moderating decisions is not doxxing. People quoting your posts as SYQ is not doxxing. Yes, having people quote your posts and make fun of you doesn't feel good, but just because it doesn't feel good doesn't mean you are being doxxed. People here and on the QCS/SAD side both need to stop catastrophizing and making poo poo up

Someone commented on my N95 for the first time this year. I was picking up some breakfast sandwiches in a drive through lane. When I rolled up to the window, the guy working at the window stopped and starting winding up to ask me about my mask, which made me think "oh boy, here we go". He said he was curious and asked why I was wearing my mask, since he barely sees them anymore. I kept it short and just said I am being extra careful because people I live with are vulnerable. Thought he was going to scoff at me but he said he respected it but stopped wearing because he felt too self-conscious to keep wearing his, then talked about how his dad had ALS when he was a kid and his dad got hosed up by random colds they would bring home.

Q: A friend is coming into town and will be available to hang out for a night. Is there any test they can take that'd give us a reasonable assurance that they won't infect us with COVID if they hang out at our house? We mask everywhere outside our house and haven't been got yet. They asked if they could take a test and IDK. They'll wear an N95 too if we must but it's more of a pain in the rear end for all of us, especially with the weather outside being hot and humid lately
