I don't know if it was spoiled, but as an enumerator I can tell you that a swastika placed in the box for UKIP/BNP/Reform style parties does count as intent to vote. And if you don't place a cross somewhere else to spoil it, it will count as a valid vote.

There's a name for the phenomenon, but basically once something happens a few times in succession you're more likely to notice it happening even if the rate isn't on average any faster than normal.

The IDF have admitted enough of what happened for killing the witness to be a waste of time. And if they'd only shot the first two, flag of truce or not, it could have been passed off as a tragic "heat of the moment" event even with a surviving witness.

No, it's a lot simpler: the Israelis have decided that everyone in Gaza is to be treated as an enemy combatant. The death of any hostage killed by the IDF can and will be blamed on Hamas for taking them hostage in the first place. As such there is no longer any interest in freeing the hostages, as their deaths are politically expedient in the promotion of the genocide.

I took a brief gander and Gill is one of the slightly less poo poo ones. She's been very consistent at least in complaining about how sole home ownership is out of reach for her generation and wrote an article on the new trend of taking out joint mortgages with a friend saying that while it may have potential problems it's better than giving the money to landlords. It is of course all leavened with a healthy portion of "a sinister trend for students not to want to flat share with Tory Leave voters", as if not wanting to share a roof with a racist fascist moron is a bad thing, but she's close to actual self-awareness.

Nobody on TV is ever going to top Necrothatcher's TV appearance.

The justification was that it's less about the child (not a child) and more about Price using him as a shield every time she's called out for her atrocious behaviour, which at the time the joke was made was far more prevalent in the media.

Not saying I agree with him, Harvey being an adult with a developmental disorder is definitely the butt of the joke, twice. Some of his jokes, like the Barack Obama / bulletproof glass and Pope jokes are jokes about people with lovely opinions, but the joke in question really comes across as the work of someone with lovely opinions.

I would hope that you don't agree with him, because "it's not about the victim, it's about the person using them as a shield" is literally the justification the IDF use for bombing hospitals in Gaza.

It's perfectly OK to think that Osman is a prick if he is a prick, of course, but that doesn't make Boyle any better for not rising to it. Reasonable Hitler is a meme for a reason.

So to be fair to Jedit, they weren't saying that that joke is like or as bad as bombing a hospital, they were saying that defending it by saying it's attacking Jordan with her son as the punchline enabling it and that's fine because she uses her son as a shield (which is Frankie Boyles defense of it apparently, I want to make it clear I don't think it is fine). Jedit's saying that is a similar logic to the one the IDF use in their rhetoric. IE "it's fine to attack someone even if there's collateral damage because they're just that bad". I'm not sure I see the logic in bringing it up however, there's better comparisons to make probably.

Thank you bardy, that is what I was aiming at. oval office though he may be, Boyle's "joke" was of course nothing like as bad as what the IDF are doing and I didn't mean to imply that it was. He's also said that Israel is an apartheid state and is committing genocide, which is points in his favour.

He's still a oval office, though.
