I haven't put as much time into it as I'd like, but maybe Manoueverable can add their two cents on it. I say at least try the free version and mess around with it. It's a ton of fun. But there have been others where I'm just trying to restrain the urge to skip through most of it. I think generally, if the cutscene's being wordy for the sake of being wordy, I'm very uninterested, but if it's payoff for an entire arc or hitting some emotional beats, I can watch that all day

Cosmonaut Variety Hour recently did a two video series on all the Batman movies on his Youtube channel, and something he pointed out about the Nolan movies that I very much agree with is that starting with TDK is that Nolan really seems to have resented the fact that he was making superhero movies (and even if that wasn't true for TDK, it was for Rises)

He also has been reliant on a single, simple style and hasn't made a great film in a long time. He also made some great films and developed a recognizable style, something very few directors have done. It's easy to jump on the he sucks or he is a genius side, when it's really both. Yeah. For some reason my mom loving loves him and is livid that James Gunn is taking over the DC movieverse, but I think a chunk of that anger has more to do with the fact that they're recasting everyone (she gets very attached to her actors)

Started playing Lost Judgment today. I've played plenty of Yakuza games at this point so I know how good the series is at tonal whiplash, but I wasn't expecting to go from investigating a grisly murder mystery and bullying problem to becoming the advisor of a high school mystery club after being thoroughly outsmarted by the protag of a slice-of-life manga in the span of minutes
