Yeah, crime rates and actual statistics don't matter at all to conservatives. The fact that even one murder happened needs that we need to be Tougher On Crime, which means dumping more money into the police budget hole and promptly forgetting about it until the next election cycle where a Democrat is in charge.

The fact that she's not a politician is the only thing keeping it at the "she'll enter the race Any Day Now" level. The moment she shows any interest in any sort of public office, an entire industry will start churning out books accusing her of being the Antichrist.

I know that to themselves and their base, that's more than enough to be convincing, and their minds won't change either way, but god it's just so loving funny seeing them flop around like this, just completely failed messaging at every step. This one might be the most pathetic though. "Us poor ol grandmas just sightseeing!"

Yeah, right wing radio hosts will start a 15-minute segment with the "poor grandmas taking pictures are being tortured by the police (who are bad now)" schtick, gradually move towards "the cops let them in / they were all feds", and end the segment with "these heroes were completely justified and we're gonna do it again if Biden steals this election too, so watch your backs". Like, their supposed actual beliefs change as the narrative progresses and they get more and more riled up, it's kind of remarkable to view as an outsider.

Yeah, while Stonetoss might be occasionally worth looking at just as an alt-right temperature gauge, I definitely wouldn't want to see it regularly posted. Like as lovely as Branco and the rest are, their main goal isn't to directly inspire mass shootings. It's why we don't really talk about people like Nick Fuentes over in the right wing media thread even though he qualifies, there's no real entertainment value or insight you can derive from someone who just nakedly wants to inspire hate crimes.

It is kind of amusing seeing "What is a woman?" portrayed as a cutting inquiry that rocks liberals to their very core and forces them to confront their sinful ways, and not as just a right-wing shibboleth worthy of an eye-roll and jerkoff hand motion. It's like creationists teaching their kids to ask "were you there?" to their science teacher once they start their units on evolution, as if that's going to change anything.
