Donkay NOoo posted:Noo I missed page 100 I was watching Sherlock Holmes Yup, you can deffo hand wash a poly wool blend. You need soap flakes, which is different to laundry detergent but in the same section in the supermarket. Or you can get wool washing liquid, it's up to you. I use soap flakes for handknits and fabrics Dissolve a little handful of flakes in a bucket or sink in like a2 inches of hot water, then fill up the sink to halfway with cold water. Swish the coat around for a while maybe like three or four minutes if its not too dirty, then drain the water, smoosh out as much water as you can. Then half fill the sink with water again and rinse the same way you washed it, you'll probably have to drain the water and replace it a couple of times. Then when the soap is all gone put a couple of teaspoons of white vinegar in another sinkful of water, to get rid of any soap that's left, then rinse it one more time in cold water Then I get two towels, lay the garment between them, fold it over once and stomp on it to get the water out. Then you can either lay it on a rack to dry in the shade if it's a long heavy coat because you don't want it to warp, or if it's light you can hang it on a wooden or padded hanger to dry DON'T WEAR IT UNTIL IT'S DRY

it sounds like a lot but it really only takes 15 minutes or so if there's still cat hair in the weave and you don't have a lint roller you can just use sticky tape or masking tape to get it off too

Getting my hair cut later, and can't decide if I want to grow my bangs out or get them trimmed. Either seems like a lot of commitment.

I sort of want bangs but my hair is so long it would take years to undo such a decision. Also I associate bangs with the Midwest now, where the midwest is my enemy, surrounding me...

The problem with bangs is that there is a very brief window when they're neither too short or too long and actually look good. Also, I just got back from the thrift shop and have acquired an awesomely cozy Vertigo Paris sweater with a cool cut, a chunky brass choker that looks like it came off the set of Game of Thrones, a cute little vintage mint green enamel and brass ring with a bird design, and an unopened bottle of DKNY Be Delicious, which smells wonderfully light and fresh. Good Saturday so far.
