I really hope that's not what's going on at your workplace. When I used to work at a clothing store, my manager had to have a little "chat" with me about how although I was technically following the dress code in that I only wore clothing bought from the store, I needed to accessorize more and wear more skirts and dresses. I wore my dresses with combat boots, but I guess that was good enough.

Asian clothing tends to be cut very slim in the arm, but I've lost quite a bit of weight so that may be a possibility now! I'll check out Talbot's, too. Is Banana Republic clothing worth the money? I never shop there normally because expensive, but I am willing to shell out a bit more cash for a good blazer and/or suit.

Also, if you see a woman wearing something you like, compliment her on it and she might tell you where she got it. Don't do this with women you work with, though, just women on the street or whatever. This is also a good way to find a hairstylist. amarantinesky posted:I will find pictures of my pets and post them once I overcome this clothing thing. Get some higher cut camisoles to wear under shirts so you don't have to stress over necklines. I wear a layering tank or a camisole a lot even tho' I'm pretty flat 'cause I dislike looking down and seeing cleavage (and don't want other people to see cleavage either). Also, you could go to her and ask her for specific suggestions on what to wear. If you ask as if she was a mentor, she'll probably be really helpful. Since you've gotten a similar comment before from someone else, there might be something you're not seeing. Hopefully, this ceases to be an issue. I can't find it but I remember reading about a young female attorney who sued her female boss for harassment. Every day the boss would complain she was inappropriately dressed, no matter what she wore. She started documenting her outfit every single day and proved in court that the boss was unfairly singling her out and that what she'd been wearing did meet the firm's dress code.

Edit: I bought 3 pencil length bodycon skirts for like £10 each which work okay as business causal with a £19 (on sale) Dorothy Perkins blouse and a lovely £25 blazer. I'd been a size 12 in pants for ages and I picked up some nice dress slacks a year ago as an investment for when I start having an actual job, but then I dropped a bunch of sizes accidentally and they're all super baggy on me now. It's a strange mix of depressing and great.

I don't have any except for the legal ones (but they're benzos.) The last time I had drugs I was 18 and had them in a little crochet pouch around my neck. I'll bet it's a lot more expensive now, huh? (I was 18 literally half my life ago.) The klonopin is in my bathroom between my tampons and my CC cream because I'm hard like that. E: Oh! And I also have 2 pills each in my desk and my purse in little flowered pill holders that I bought at the drugstore. Because again, hard.

The closest thing I have is cough syrup with codeine in my fridge. But I bought a set of cute little boxes and the guy checking me out was flirting and kept asking me what I was gonna store in them and when I didn't wanna answer, I think he thought it was . I didn't wanna tell him it was tampons. That possum keeps coming back and we're getting to be friends. I'll hear munching in the kitchen and go "possum, you know you're not supposed to be in here" and instead of scurrying under something and hissing, he'll just look at me and go back to eating. So I go "c'mon, out, out" and point at the door and he'll reluctantly turn and lumber out the front door.

Sometimes thrift stores will have awesome little pill boxes, or just unspecific tiny boxes to put pills in. That's where I got the tiny metal box I keep my (entirely legal) emergency medication in, fits in a purse pocket. I found in high school that a pink Mary Kay compact with the makeup removed works as well. It's boring makeup, so no one wants to see it. A person with a large bust asked about clothes, forget who Seconding the cheap camis and tanks to wear underneath. I am 5 feet, two and a half inches, and I have an annoyingly large bust as well. Basically all the shirts/dresses that will fit over my bust are too low-cut for business wear once they're on. Many of them are too low-cut for walking out the door, and I've learned to live with a certain amount of cleavage showing. Get the camis with adjustable straps, if you can. If you find some that fit well, buy several, especially if they're cheap. Target usually has some that aren't too pricey, but last a decent amount of time. eshakti.com has you enter your height, and adjusting for that is included in the price of the garment, and then a lot more options that you can pick and choose that don't cost much. I know they have an option for length on any top, relative to your height as well. I think they have some blazers under 'jackets,' and I know they're having a sale right now. Modcloth also has a ton of blazers. If you check those out, search 'blazer,' don't look at their 'work appropriate' section unless you're willing to see a lot of stuff that won't cut it for you, like open-toe shoes. They do have some nice, dressy, low wedges, and some basic shirts and skirts, and they're having a sale right now as well. MY PALE GOTH SKIN fucked around with this message at 12:25 on Apr 4, 2014 |
