I've got an interesting one for you guys, maybe someone knows this. About a year or two back, I stumbled upon a link I think it was to a documentary on YouTube (or it may have just been an article with links to YouTube) about this girl band that was objectively the worst band ever. They were all related, and I guess it was suppose to be some kind of Andrews Sisters type deal, and they managed to record a demo tape, but I don't think they ever got released to the public at large, precisely because the music was so indecipherably bad. As in the three girls would be playing their instruments all out of time, out of key, and singing and playing as though each girl was doing her own song. The studio engineer was even quoted as saying something like "At one point one of the girls stopped and said 'oops, I messed up that last bit,' and all I could think was 'how could you tell?'" So they've remained largely obscure, but apparently have a recent very niche cult following amongst Dadaists and eccentric music collectors, claiming the girls were way ahead of their time with whatever they were trying to accomplish. I believe the band was around in the 60s or 70s though maybe as early as the 50s. I think the song they featured in the documentary was something like "Mister [_____]" Mister Furry or Mister something silly sounding. And it really does sound like each instrument is playing a different song while the one girl sings. I apologize that this is more of a "Help me identify a totally obscure band nobody has ever hear of before".

There's a famous duo band that does music which I will assume is a mix between trance, EDM remix and stoner type stuff, I like listening to them alotwhile working but I seem to have completely forgotten their names I recall the song being released sometime in the late 2000's. One of their most famous songs had an intro I'll never forget, it's like a bass groove, that slowly builds up, suddenly there's like a Panther or Tiger roar then the song builds an electronic beat on top of the bass line. I feel so dumb because I remember these guys being kinda famous but cant recall their names for the life of me.

The only duo that comes to mind that sorta fits (though not really the stoner stuff) is Erasure. Do you recall if they were a new group or not? Erasure got started in the 80's I think

Long shot time: I'm looking for a song that unintentionally became a fairly popular protest song, probably from the 40s or the 60s, unlikely but possibly from as recent as the 80s. The title of the song is never mentioned in the lyrics so it was often referred to by the first few words of the song, which were a chorus. The song was usually played in the western half of the united states. The song itself is fairly upbeat with an acoustic guitar and a man singing. The song's lyrics are fairly subtle, it is not an obvious and deliberate message about the singer's feelings about a conflict, nor was it intended to be.

Heard a song today that I completely spaced on recognizing. The problem with that is that it's something I burned onto a mix CD for the car last July and randomly pulled that disc out of the glovebox and plonked it into the player today to switch things up. So it starts with some sort of recorded testimony of somebody talking about UFOs, specifically seeing lights in the sky that looked like reflections but couldn't be natural because of how they flashed rhythmically. From there, the synths in the background start getting louder and start arpeggiating like mad while a drum track (not sure whether they're live drums or not, I was paying more attention to the road) started playing breakbeats for the remainder of the track. I'll kick myself so hard when I figure out what it is.

About a bazillion years ago (mid 2000's) someone from the Chicago area showed me a few tracks from a band with a name something like khameleon or chameleon. It was industrialish rock/metal similar to NIN but more, uh, metalcore I guess. One of the songs had a title of "numbers". I could be getting the song title and band name mixed up but I only ever look for this late at night during alcohol fueled nostalgia trips and my Google fu and memory has failed me time and time again. Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

I'm pretty sure it's from a video game I've played not too long ago, I just can't figure out which. So I guess this'd be better in games but it's more of a music thing? Anyway. Quoting my old as hell post but I finally figured out the answer to my own question. It was stuck in my head again, and this time I decided to try out this midomi.com website, not expecting to find anything. But there you loving go. I was completely thrown off by searching for game music. It's strange, I thought it was instrumental, and it doesn't match the second part of my bad transcription, so my brain must've mashed up the song with another. Or maybe there's a musical arrangement elsewhere on the soundtrack.

I'm looking for a song, it's a recent song I believe that has children singing "I love you so", like a choir. I really don't know how to say more details... It has a nice little beat to it, plays a lot on the radio, at least here in Greece, don't know how popular it is abroad. I have no idea how to search for it, every "children singing i love you" search gives me children's songs. VV: YES! That's it! Thank you very much. Apparently I have the wrong idea of what a choir is, but thank you very much. Serperoth fucked around with this message at 19:41 on Aug 17, 2014 |

A few nights ago I was scanning around the FM band while driving and came across this really cool & funky dance groove track where the only lyrics seemed to be "style... class... rhythm", each separated by like 20-30 seconds of groove. I'm not really up on all the sub-genres and sub-sub-genres of "dance" music so I'm not really sure how to better identify it. It went like: <music-music-music buildup>"...STYLE" <music-music-music buildup> "...CLASS" <music-music-music buildup> "RHYTHM" (repeat) Another song came on directly afterwards and the song title was never given. The station's website is no help, since I think this was playing during the late-night filler hours where they don't post the playlist. It was great driving music though and I'd really like to find it again.
