If you want an example of terrible 2D kickstarter game that obviously should just make the jump to 3D, just look at Stasis. Look at that horrible work, christ I just want to vomit. And don't get me started how on terrible his mock-up of a 2D Bioshock looks: http://i.imgur.com/GZioXy3.jpg gently caress that poo poo, stop being lazy and make my video card overheat devs.

Like have you ever played a infinity engine game or what? I don't know what to feel about the new torment game since Wasteland 2 kind of felt like a misfire. I backed it ages ago though.

I backed at the "Get WL2 and Torment" level and while I had fun with the first hour or two of WL2 I found that combat just got boring after a while and the game was on the uglier side of modern day games. Pillars of Eternity was great though so the bar is pretty high. I mean I get that they are supposed to be nostalgia trips or whatever, but Pillars is pretty as hell.

In other news, Lucky Pause's kickstarted Homesick (using the Unreal Engine) is pretty much ready for release. Backers should be getting steam keys to try out the beta before the final release, which is currently planned for May 28th. I've got my key today in the mail, but haven't managed to play much of the game. Just moved around the starting room. My first impression is a positive one.

Pillars of Eternity is gorgeous and so far Torment looks pretty ace as well. Also I'm still not convinced Little Devil Inside is an actual game. EDIT: Also that Brigador game someone posted a link to looks kinda neat, I'll keep an eye on that one. Chairchucker fucked around with this message at 17:37 on May 23, 2015 |

The recent update post for DreamFall Chapters (RTG are working on the third episode), points towards a new kickstarter for a horror themed game called "Through the Woods" which is developed by Antagonist (another Norwegian indie company). It reminds me a little of the Among the Sleep game (they mention it as a source of inspiration), and the prototype demo they offer does have Silent Hill-ish feel to it. They ask for quite a small amount. Not sure if there is sufficient interest for that sort of game nowadays (it's not Slenderman category, but it's not far either). I can't say I'm hooked. edit: oops forgot the link https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1854868411/through-the-woods/

Just ran out of money from helping kickstart Formula Fusion today. And I had to cancel a pledge for another kickstarter I really liked because of it. Luckily my paycheck comes in 3 days or I'd be even more boned than I am now. Luckily all my other kickstarters collect in June, when my tax money comes in. I don't have a problem shut up
