The New York Public Library has digitised all their copies of the Green Book: http://digitalcollections.nypl.org/collections/the-green-book#/?tab=about&scroll=6 These were travel guides for black people that allowed them to navigate the country while avoiding towns where they would be lynched after dark. Here on page 116, we have a listing of safe places you can spend the night in West Virginia: http://digitalcollections.nypl.org/items/5ae34320-942e-0132-7630-58d385a7bbd0#/?uuid=655e5570-942e-0132-3d17-58d385a7bbd0 Clarksburg has a hotel named Mrs. Ruby Thomas Lodgings? That's an odd name for a hotel, right? Because there were actually no hotels that served [edited to add]: black* people in Clarksburg, so this is literally the address of someone who lists their home as a place to spend the evening. *Kind of an important adjective I forgot here. pathetic little tramp fucked around with this message at 21:44 on Oct 26, 2015 |

That article is a bit misleading. Portraying Sununu as a voice of establishment reason is laughable, he'd fit right in with Carson/Trump supporters. He's said worse things than most tea party congressmen and worse than Trump. He knows exactly what's going on. Saying that McCarthy didn't have the votes because he was establishment- it's more cause he torpedoed any remaining legitimacy of the Benghazi committee (in the eyes of the media) and his supposed affair.

For instance, there was a university – I’m sure you’ve heard of the situation – where, you know, the professor told everybody, “Take out a piece of paper and write the name ‘Jesus’ on it. Put in on the floor and stomp on it.” And one student refused to do that and was disciplined severely. You know, he subsequently was able to be reinstated– Did that actually happen? Don't forget that God's Not Dead ends with the liberal atheist college professor Hercules getting hit by a car on his way to a Christian rock concert and a minister baptizing him instead of anyone calling an ambulance. And then the Duck Dynasty guy addresses the audience and tells them to all text God's Not Dead to everyone in their phone. It's a great movie. And the main character's love interest's brother's girlfriend is a liberal atheist blogger who hates Duck Dynasty and gets diagnosed with and dies of cancer during the course of the movie, which is insinuated to be God's wrath. The short answer is no. The long answer is that the lesson was to write Jesus on a piece of paper and then look at it, think about the word, and then to step on it. The goal isn't for anyone to step, let alone stomp on Jesus. It is to get them to think about the symbols meaning to them: the plan fully expects people NOT to step on the word at all because of the meaning the word has to them. The reason why the student got in trouble wasn't because he refused to stomp, it was because he physically threatened the teacher after class.
