If Goat Simulator is possible than I will believe one day in 2020 we will be playing an honest to god Payday 3. It'll take a back burner to its predecessor still kicking around, but Payday 2 will somehow still exist as a smaller TF2/petri dish for PD3.

Yes, it was also a game I could win, so no problems. But the way some people talk, they want a game where every heist needs 10 tries or more before you manage limp to the van with 5% health as 15 black dozers are sprinting into the map after you. There are even people who suggest that the static which signals that cloakers are near, is making the game too easy.

The transport jobs vary a great deal depending on which map you're on, both how many and where the trucks spawned, and what loot you have to haul. The one thing they have in common though is that they all love to flood you with cops from most every angle and rarely give you enough cover to deal with all of them. But with the exception of the nightmare that Crossroads can turn into, they're not particularly bad on not-DW.

Loading up a C4/Saw Techforcer and blitzing a couple DW ATs is actually pretty drat fun. They're reasonably quick, but drat tense for the short time you're there. Even Crossroads can be fun if you've got a team who even slightly understand holding out indoors during assault waves.

Jesus why do we even HAVE assets at this point beyond pre-planning? I'm that guy that goes "Ohh... uhh..." right after someone says don't buy any assets. AT heists are fun on DW. I did originally dislike them on any difficulty because for the effort required it was a pretty lovely payout. The game has changed a ton since then and the AT heists have aged well with it. Still bad payouts but as others here have mentioned it's one of the few heists you can gear up for and just bang it out. It has little cover but just enough to possibly duck out of combat for a slight moment. At the same time it isn't overly difficult that you are unable to do them. Well, if you bring a saw at least.

I love being able to get more loot for having invested in a techforcer build. Not many builds come close to that level of loud utility. What bugs me is that one safe in the counting room of Big Bank that can't be drilled or C4'd. Is that the best they can do to incentivize me into putting skills towards Ghost? I just have a hard time trying out other builds/skills since I feel I'd be less effective in a heist. Until they change the way skills and maps work together it will be the time of the TechForcer and FugiMind.

I'm guessing it's in the evidence lockup. edit: from the name it may actually be running around the map and you have to catch it. Literal Nazi Furry posted:please do show me that. I've never seen people wish cloakers never made any sound and that sounds like a fun one. Me, I think I said that. They'd still make it when charging, though. Death Vox special unit notes: Snipers only spawn using the greenish “murky” model. They have the same health and damage as Overkill snipers. Snipers can spawn in between assault waves, particularly in something that Bain or the intercepted police comms would call an "overwatch", which basically translates to a large set of sniper positions spawning at once. Sniper positions are generally changed to nastier or less predictable locations on DV maps. Shields will, when not scripted to defend a position, generally attempt to close with and melee players. The time to loss of focus will also be increased, meaning breaking line of sight to make them turn away will take longer. These changes incentivize Iron Man, but can cause problems if you need to deal with a Shield combined with other enemies. Bulldozers can, like in Payday 1, run. They’re also completely immune to explosive damage. No LMGs, though, and no other major changes. The Thanatos will still work great on Bulldozers, but I'm hoping to create more situations where players are forced to confront them up close. -On loud maps involving a thermal drill, Bain will sometimes announce that a "Demo Team" is going for the drill. This means a differently colored Bulldozer is going to spawn (with some escort, usually shields and blops), singlemindedly path to, and attempt to plant C4 on, the thermal drill. If they do so, and if the C4 isn't immediately defused (a hard thing to do with the Bully right there), the drill is destroyed and Bain will have to have another one flown/driven to the location, usually in an exposed place. This restarts progress on the drill. Demo Dozers have about twice as much health as normal dozers. Demo Teams are scripted such that their appearance is somewhat random, but the number of times they can spawn is fixed. You’ll never be inundated with 40 of them in a heist. Tasers take significantly less time to down a player, so getting tased actually is tense, rather than getting downed just being an issue of whether or not you're being hit through a wall. The tasing animation will also be harder to shoot through, as in payday 1. Cloakers no longer make the feedback sound when not charging. This should be less of an issue because by the time you're playing DV you'd usually know where they come from, anyways. Cloaker spawns will be normalized, and there will be fewer maps with inexplicable inundations of cloakers (this appears to be caused by a slapdash spawn allocation design choice when the new enemy was added). However, the game will be able to spawn a four-member cloaker team. SWAT Turrets may spawn in different positions, and reload in about 75% of their normal time. They’re also heavily resistant to explosives and fire (no more flamethrower trick). Captain Winters will often spawn at a scripted point in a heist to maximize the annoyance/difficulty of getting to him. His defense position may be changed or even randomly selected between locations to increase exposure. He and his unit will be majorly resistant to fire and explosions. His booster effect and health will be unchanged. Discendo Vox fucked around with this message at 18:35 on Jan 27, 2016 |

DW ATs are pretty fun, but yeah, only if someone brings the C4 and a saw. They've got that great feeling of 'runRunRUN', because if you stay around any longer than you have to you're getting hosed. If you drill/pick, the heists are FAR too long. Here's something I threw together a while ago (and just updated) to kinda help ease a friend into the game. Broke the heists down to A-F tiers. (Roughly equal number per tier, so 8-8-8-8-7.) It worked OK as a very rough guideline of the poo poo that should be avoided vs. what should be played.
