I'm seriously starting to think that at this point we might as well stop logging in for a month or two. Let r/eve have their orgy of terrible posting, let PL smug off for the Alliance Tournament, and let them grow complacent thinking we've packed up and headed off for greener pastures. Then in a few months we come back, retake Deklein and the surrounding regions, and go back to skullfucking CO2 and the rest of these shitlers once they are infighting over the spoils of war.

I'm just a random line member and bad poster but here are what I think about the current debacle. Low morale Burned out line members, bored of having to jump through 25 empty blue systems to fight. Borded out supercap pilot, never using their toys and unsubbing or joining other entities. Supercapitals ships have been mass produced for a while and yet, were rarely used. Complaisance Downplaying reddit circlejerk, we should have used counter propaganda, vote brigading, etc.. As soon as it had reached critical mass and PL joined the fray it was over. They enjoy a very good image and acted as a beacon that caused even more pubbies to dogpile on us. Not sounding the horn of goondor before it was too late and not making enough efforts to make the vets resub. Not suggesting to members to evac their poo poo when the enemy was advancing. Image crisis Perhaps the biggest issue. The imperium rebranding and kickstarter were terrible. People were barely getting over the TMC “rmt affair” and if there is one thing that people hate, it’s RMT. Stagnation was bad, since there were no war, the CFC was tagged “carebear alliance” by many. This doesn’t help to attract many people looking to PVP. Many stupid rumors such as people never fighting unless forced by paps requirements, people forced to pay 10$/month, people forced to watch various twitch Streams for paps, funding code (pubbies hate them) and plenty more. This make the alliance looks “uncool”. On the other hand, Pandemic Legion as the resident “elite pro tryhard guild” enjoy a terrific reputation. Their offspring: Waffle and Pandemic Horde, do benefit from that and it helps boost their recruitment both in quantity and quality. Also whining about CCP being dicks toward the Imperium. In 2016 people actually like them. Personal attacks on people being Mentaly Ill or doxed or RMT lords of whatever are also petty and inspire disdain. I think the Imperium/CFC want to remain a big power it should seriously work on its image. Industry grade organization, lack of drama, services, space socialism and opportunities to participate in every kind of gameplay offered by EVE should be advertised more. Probably implied rather than advertised. TLDR: Hire a Head of Communication Also lol if you think people will just leave Deklein. PL and other Super Hunter will always keep a HIC logged in every system and a sizable super fleet around for months, especialy since you can know keep subbed accounts. There are hundreds of whales logged off that await being turned into juicy killmails. And the likes of TEST will live there just to make a point, they will need to be subtly dispatched as not to attract the Pubbies Voltron.

yeah man mistakes were made i think what people forget about eve is that it's just a game and there's a lot of competing offerings; although some people really get sucked in (myself included), lots of people seem to play a while then ditch eve for other offerings, especially if their own organization is screwing up
