My company is aggressively hiring at the moment - here's one of our positions:

Position:Java Engineer

Location:Boston, MA

Qualifications:"The successful candidate will be a seasoned Java professional with at least 5 years of experience. Experience with Scala, Apache Spark, and Hadoop infrastructures are a strong plus, as this role will help build out our solution for large-scale processing of data in a Hadoop environment." Knowledge of semantic web technology is a plus but not required.

I've been working for this company for about a year now in a general IT capacity, and I really like it here. Benefits package is quite nice, and we offer an unlimited vacation policy. I don't have PMs, so send me a resume at imcuster at gmail dot com.

We're also hiring: Research / senior research engineer (machine learning / graph analytics), DevOps engineer, UI/UX designer, Javascript application engineer, and solutions software engineer (client-facing technical position). The company has been around for 8 years now and we're moving into a pretty rapid growth period at the moment.

Location: Seattle, WA or telecommute. Would consider relocation for the perfect job.

Seeking: A full-time, permanent or contract position as a technical writer in the software industry, or a blended position including technical writing and coding.

Experience: I have 3 years experience in technical writing for software, mostly for an audience of developers (internal and customers), but also for non-developers. I've used a number of CMS including GitHub, and a number of markup languages including DITA, HTML/CSS, and Markdown. I'm familiar with Java and Python and could quickly pick up enough to understand code samples in probably any language. I'm experienced with agile and the software development process in general, and have done my own project management, information architecture, and internationalization and localization.

Job Description: We are migrating a database from a paper-based/Excel system to a legit database. This position will be doing much of the actual data entry. There will be a lot of looking through files, identifying and fixing discrepancies, and being in front of a computer. It is a contract position with a length of approximately 4 months. Long-term possibility for someone with an inspection or calibration background.

Really what I need is someone who can sit in front a computer, do basic Excel editing and database management, and will show up every day. It's a pretty sweet gig, will probably pay in the mid-$20's/hr, and is a great work environment.

Send me a PM and I can provide more details. Include a brief background and/or a link to your resume.

Experience working as a graphic designer, a PR rep working in human resources (Current job), and as a hotel concierge. Fluent in Arabic and English, she currently works for the Mecca Chamber of Commerce translating things, and has been learning Malay as well. If you need it, I got her updated resume.
