At first, I was worried about a carabiner failure and though he should have gone with (you know) a wheel (or something). I quickly removed the snotty 'duh' tone from my mental commentary when I realized how much more likely something like that would be to seize up, jump the cable, or otherwise fail... poorly.

I was amazed at the quality in the carabiner versus the $0.99 gardening gloves that lasted less than 30 seconds.
