I use mine as programmed by Mike Israetel, where the weight drops back down to the week 1 weight, and you do half the reps and only two sets. Later sessions in the week drop off weight more as well. Works great for me and a lot of other people. Dilber fucked around with this message at 17:33 on Dec 1, 2016 |

lol jfc some guy at the gym is lifting his rear end up about a mile off the bench to bounce 240 off his chest, which one of you??

but thats what the powerlifters do hence it is also something I, random gymbabby, need to do nevermind the fact that powerlifters do that poo poo to bend the rules of their sport and there's no benefit to it at all for a normie

Zzulu posted:but thats what the powerlifters do hence it is also something I, random gymbabby, need to do WRONG! rear end has to stay on the bench for the lift to count. You can get fat as gently caress and put a rolled up knee wrap under your shirt to reduce your range of motion but your rear end has to stay on the bench!!!

how much of the rear end? Some of that persons butt may or may not be touching the bench we're going to have to call in the buttprofessor on this one I think

like that swole bob saget said, a slight arch is good, enough to slide your hand under you anything more than that is just to limit range of motion for competitions

powerlifters have to keep their butt and shoulders on the bench so they started arching their backs so the bar hit their chest earlier, thus heavy lifts became easier thats literally where it comes from
