I hope you enjoyed my stupid fanfiction to reverse AoS at least in some part enough to have WHFB and it coexisting.

Also just random bit but I grabbed the lupomod thing the other day, playing in 3rd person owns real hard and I'm struggling to turn it off any at all lately, I'm still getting most damage, most specials killed, all that sorta thing. So since I'm not handicapping my teams or anything, it's just like why even care to turn it off if I'm having so much fun with it.

SkySteak posted:How does one go about hiring a Skaven Specialist? One of the things I love most about skaven is the complexity of their political system and the simple raw violence that get mixed together in the governance of rat society. Even a relatively low level clan leader can rise quickly in power with a cunningly devised negotiation, assassination, blackmail, or maybe he just ate a bunch of warpstone, grew to twice his original size and ate a few other clan leaders and tripled the size of his clan by 'appropriating' the other clans. Asking a rat how it got something is about as dangerous and nebulous as eating some of that warpstone, you dont know exactly what will happen, but you're unlikely to glean any truth out of the experience.

Third person is actually an enormous disadvantage for the most part, because the third person animations were understandably not designed to communicate the same information as the first person animations. When you can swing again, what your range is and where exactly you should be aiming to hit the head is much more difficult to parse. It varies widely between weapons but generally it's hard to do more than just sort of swing for center of mass. It's still incredibly fun though.

Backstabbery falchion and expanded magazine volley crossbow WH finally got me regularly playing classes that aren't bright wiz, and its really great. Having a guarantee that roger is gonna go down in 10 seconds or less, retaining a little anti-stormvermin capability if the game does that thing where it spawns five of them at once on top of your head, and clearing out 80% of a horde by whipping out volley bow and right clicking twice, fills so many gaps in the average Pubbie Rando lineup. looking back on how much trouble i had getting a full clear of garden of moor earlier this month, there are so many times where in retrospect the problem was I felt locked into Bright Wiz slave-and-storm-and-special-killer-du-jour which is frequently the other component missing in pub lobbies. What I needed was volleybow and falchion beefing through patrols when pubs triggered them. What I needed was strength pot volley bow 7-shotting roger with skullcracker bolts. What I needed was a melee weapon that can take out a chain in half a dozen quick charged attacks.

Yeah my WH end game is also falchion+RC, thought about staying with the rapier to deal with hordes and the repeater for storms and rogers but the falchion will be better on NM+. My goal now is to create a set of bot only weapons all with BL+DB+imp pommel.

killing blow rapier has spoiled me on witch hunter weapons now. I can't play with anything else. used to really like the falchion too. it's got 10% on its charged regrowth and hits multiple targets per swing, which is pretty sweet because you proc heals a hilarious amount, but its overall slowness and only 2 shields are kind of a drag when you can just run around zapping off heads instead with the rapier terrorist ambulance fucked around with this message at 21:58 on Jan 29, 2017 |
