The shirt is funny because Trump is thought to have collaborated with Russia in the 2016 presidential election, and Putin is the leader of Russia. By having Putin as his running mate, it implies that his relationship with Putin was so close that he might as well have been his running mate in the election. It is a very subtle and well-crafted piece of humor. We should expect nothing less from our elected officials.

Putin can't actually be vice-president, typical of democratic elected officials to not actually understand how our government works.

Mr Krauthhammer may be remembered as the only lucid conservative Pulitzer Prize Awardee from the last 50 yrs or the next 50. A gentleman who understood that civility and conviction can co-exist and blend together. Like George Will, Bill Kristol and Buckley, Charles Krauthammer was a gentlemanly, articulate, intelligent conservative voice. Very rarely did I agree with him, but I always gave his opinions thoughtful consideration, and appreciated his erudite illumination of opposing views. So sorry his voice has been silenced too soon. Mr. Krauthammer's death is very nearly symbolic of the end of the admirable conservatism of which no remnant is apparent. One of the best and clearest conservative voices, which meant that I disagreed with him 90% of the time. But he had an integrity that is not very common and gave respect to those who disagreed with him. I may not have often agreed with him, but I respected his opinion and I was always enthralled by his writing style and erudition. He was a voice of reason or opposition that was from an age when intelligence and factual debate mattered. I am no conservative, especially in today's world, but he is a loss to our collective conversation -- or to at least to those who want to converse and/or debate as opposed to those who now just want to live in their respective and ill-informed echo chambers. Mr. Krauthammer showed how Liberals and Conservatives can disagree and still respect each other. No one expects only one way of thinking the world. Certainly "truth" lies somewhere in-between. We live dismal times indeed with Donald Trump. RIP!
