I mean if anything if you got that stamina you should probably be studied. I think the assumption is that the default mode for gay men is just going to the nearest gay bar, grabbing the first guy you like, and then just doing that basically every single day. The assumption is that gay dudes are just ready to gently caress absolutely any other gay dude at any given moment with no emotional attachments or long term commitments at all. They gently caress on the first date and every date is a first date. No courtship, no relationships, no awkwardness, just all loving all the time! Of course if you bother getting to know gay dudes that just isn't how they are overall.

They gently caress on the first date and every date is a first date. No courtship, no relationships, no awkwardness, just all loving all the time! It's because, to a lot of anti-gay people, being gay is a sexual taboo and all sexual taboos are equal. People who aren't straight have already done one bad sex thing, so of course they must be willing to do all the others, if not immediately then very soon - and so they accuse gay people of being unfaithful, or pedophiles, or into bestiality, or whatever else comes to mind, because if they were willing to be gay they must also be willing to be all those things. This is also why the slippery slope arguments come out so quickly. So, they figure, why wouldn't a gay man have sex every night with someone they just met? They're gay. People who are still on Freep are not going to take a nuanced look at things they oppose, so you see this belief a lot there. Edit: Adultery often doesn't count for the men because that's just regular sex they aren't supposed to have and not something 'weird', so Trump is still OK. Women who want to do that are often weird and wrong to them, though. Prism fucked around with this message at 16:31 on Nov 5, 2018 |

I think the whole "gays die at 40 on average" crap came from an old Paul Cameron study, where he looked at obituaries in gay newspapers during the height of the AIDS crisis, averaged them together over a few weeks, and said "welp, here's the average age of death for the homos!" I think it's pretty easy to find a flaw or two in that methodology, but Freepers don't care where it came from. Just that it lines up with their worldview.

I'm pretty sure FReepers are envisioning more of a non-stop series of orgies where people leave not even knowing how many people they engaged with, much less names or anything. I don't think a series of short-lived monogamous relationships live up to their standards for the gay lifestyle. e: Toxicslurpee beat me

I was just making fun of how reasonable 1000 sexual partners was by putting it in actual context. But I mean if it's going to be nonstop orgies I think they gotta pump those fake numbers up.

This is what happens when party loyalty becomes the main factor in your life and eats your brain I mean sure, I'm Dem, but I don't let it rule my life. I'm not out marching around bitching about progressive poo poo, or determining whether something is good or bad based on low liberal it is. Freep are the nutters that rank movies my conservatism and bar the rest from their lives, or only shop certain few places because they have some right leaning policy or something.

It's a good example of Prester Jane's inner/outer narrative. They know its ridiculous but it doesn't matter because anyone in the group knows it isnt the real argument. Edit: you can see it pretty clearly in the Acosta threads. When the occasional freeper pops up to say "that doesn't look like assault to me" they are ostracized, not debated because if they were in the group they'd just accept it.
