I think my favourite thing about yesterdays election was that because LBC couldn't discuss party politics because it was polling day, they talked about how the actor Martin Freeman (of Hobbit and Sherlock fame) is no longer vegetarian for two hours.

Not quite the red wave I was expecting, but I guess the results are still young. Sir Haircut has already declared this a sweeping victory so ho-hum.

Coketastic Mr Fox's upskirt tweet is on the graun's front page though, alongside pointing out he's currently £180,000 in the hole from last week's ruling. So that's funny.

Nice Metro op-ed from one of Fox's litigants earlier this week, incidentally: https://metro.co.uk/2024/04/30/laurence-fox-owes-90-000-this-im-going-spend-money-20745995/

quote:

Even though I know that peddling outrage clearly pays in some cases, I hope our victory shows that the cost-benefit ratio is changing.

Because despite Laurence Fox trending for at least two days, a screenshot posted over the weekend showed his monetised Twitter earnings amounted to just a couple of hundred quid a month.

At that rate, it will take over 30 years to cover his £180k damages order, and just a couple centuries more for the estimated seven-figure legal costs.

Speaking of money, I know you’re wondering what I’m going to do with the £90k. There were three original claimants in our case against Laurence Fox – myself, Simon Blake and Nicola Thorp – so we will be spitting the total £180k damages three ways despite only two of us being awarded them.

I will give the bulk of my sum to charity, focusing on issues I know are close to Laurence’s heart – trans rights, racial equity, refugee advocacy and Palestinian solidarity to name a few.

And I will save a bit for myself – I fancy a bidet with a fox head spout – so that Laurence’s money can wash my vindicated rear end.

Well if it was as simple as just the thing staying shut once you shut it Boeing wouldn't be having all these problems.

So long as it's not the 737 MAX you'll probably be alright. Hmmmm, is your flight on Ryanair? Hope you have taken out life insurance!

787s operated by Etihad who have a pretty spotless record for planes dropping out of the sky, which just means they’re long overdue one and I am rolling those dice.

jesus this sounds loving awful. i've only posted things relating to his health and death but the articles also goes into details about specific complaints he made

quote:

Joshua Dean, a former quality auditor at Boeing supplier Spirit AeroSystems and one of the first whistleblowers to allege Spirit leadership had ignored manufacturing defects on the 737 MAX, died Tuesday morning after a struggle with a sudden, fast-spreading infection.

Known as Josh, Dean lived in Wichita, Kan., where Spirit is based. He was 45, had been in good health and was noted for having a healthy lifestyle.

He died after two weeks in critical condition, his aunt Carol Parsons said.

[...]

Parsons said Dean became ill and went to the hospital because he was having trouble breathing just over two weeks ago. He was intubated and developed pneumonia and then a serious bacterial infection, MRSA.

His condition deteriorated rapidly, and he was airlifted from Wichita to a hospital in Oklahoma City, Parsons said. There he was put on an ECMO machine, which circulates and oxygenates a patient’s blood outside the body, taking over heart and lung function when a patient’s organs don’t work on their own.

His mother posted a message Friday on Facebook relating all those details and saying that Dean was “fighting for his life.”

He was heavily sedated and put on dialysis. A CT scan indicated he had suffered a stroke, his mom’s post said.

By the end, doctors were considering amputating both hands and both feet. “It was brutal what he went through,” Parsons said. “Heartbreaking.”

There's a chance they didn't kill him, but I find that less plausible than them bribing his doctor to fill his meds with tissue from a deceased infection clinic patient

The last one was found shot dead in his truck, leaving only a note dated several weeks previous saying "if they say I killed myself I loving didn't". The coroner ruled it a suicide. So yeah, I'm not ruling out poisoning at this point.

It's just the lingering nature, you'd think if it was poison they'd pick one of many more lethal poisons, or just another "suicide" via firearm. If you're gonna get the corporate assassins out, they'd better be competent.

I'm sure corporations don't have assassins on retainer, we're not living in Syndicate just yet. They probably just outsource that sort of work to the state.
