This is really tempting. I'm looking for a 240 to do an engine swap with. Needs a manual though. If only I had a place to park it, I would be driving down to get it today.

Heads up that that 327 is probably around 200HP since it was measured SAE gross. Not that it really matters since for a 6 pack, two whittlin' knives, an Alan Jackson CD and $12.86 you can buy an intake manifold, cam and carb to make it make decent power. Only problem could be a set of headers that fit.

Really good to know! Thanks!

It was generally the "second gen" of 240s from 1980 - 1985. Happened to me as well on my 82. The wires around the fuel system degraded. I've since replaced that harness and everything is good.

I'm reading this that this guy found this bike in the woods and brought it home with him. How legal is this or is he basically selling a stolen bike? Do bikes have VINs that can be looked up to find the original owner?

One time we told a guy there is nobody in the US with a windshield for your vintage Porsche (80s I believe) so his option was to find one from Germany. I'm sure freight would be cheap.

I had that happen to me with my Volvo. Was looking for a new seat belt for my car and the dealership I was working through was able to find me one. In Estonia. Luckily the dealer paid for the shipping. It's one of the only times I've gone through a dealer for a part as I'm not willing to deal with a used belt from a pick n pull.

Almost gold? Granted it looks like the seller has been trying to sell the car for over a year now (Instagram album says April 2016) but had knocked the price down from around $9000 from an ad from last month. Also, it's managed to put on 24k miles between last April and now so it could be fine.

Worth checking out?

Price is steep. For reference, I'll *hopefully* be selling my 2006 Outback 5spd in a few weeks / months for about $7k OBO. And the mileage is only 134k.

I got an 82 245 with the M46. Given this is an 86, it should have an M46 as well (I think the M47 came in 88 or 89). Great, stout transmissions those are.
