Got the email to go ahead and configure my I4 pre-order. Think I'm going to stick with the base model instead of the m sport, mostly for some added range and because I looked it up and my Mazda 6 on paper has a 0-60 of 7.9 seconds and it still feels peppy enough for me, so doing it in 5.5 seconds should be more than enough to get a thrill when I'm merging onto the highway. Build right now is: -Alpine white with the blue accents -Cognac real leather with the heating and ventilation package -Driver assist and HUD -$100 for the Hans Zimmer Engine Noise upgrade -B&W premium sound system Are there any real crucial add-ons I'm missing out on? Are the laser light LED headlights that cool?

The tests that people have done during reviews are saying they're getting closer to 270 when not keeping it in sport mode all the time. The regular I4 I've seen people saying they've been getting 325+ with normal use in England fall temperatures. 245mi seems pretty reasonable since you can just plug it in to charge over night, unless your normal commute is 120 miles each way. Even for trips, driving 200 miles would be around 3 hours at which point it wouldn't hurt to take a break and put some more in the tank. Or like other people said here you also can just own an ICE vehicle more suited for long distance trips instead of a luxury sports sedan. We use the wife's Lexus SUV for road trips because of all the extra stuff we have to pack when you have a young child.

My I4 is currently docked in Belgium getting ready to set sail to the beautiful port of Baltimore. Scheduled to arrive on April 11th then I guess probably another week or so before it gets delivered to the dealership.

My I4 arrived in Port Of Baltimore on Wednesday, and the sales guy and the CSR said it would likely be at the dealership by early next week (I live in MD). So for reference, BMW originally quoted me with "end of June" but is set to deliver 2 months in advance, and because I pre-ordered I am getting it at MSRP without any markup. As far as I'm concerned, the supply chain is doing great
