The cat I had way back when grew up best friends with our collie dog, to the point that they'd just curl up with each other to sleep. The best part was that they close enough shades of orange and cream that the cat would just disappear when they did that I wish I had more photos of them, but that was a bit before digital cameras were everywhere.

One of our cats just randomly showed up at our screen door one day and said "meow" asking to be let in, then he just started walking around the place and saying hi to our other cats as if he'd been there all his life. Nobody else ever claimed him, so maybe we were just remembering wrong and he'd been there from the start
