They wouldn't be paying you, they owe the towing company for the 'service' of having the car towed. Edit: I guess I should add that you can't just hold someone's car hostage for no reason, but if they owed you, you might. An example would be a car repair shop: They can hold your car against the money owed for repairs. They can also charge storage fees if you don't pick up the car in a reasonable amount of time (generally a few days, they have to try notifying you, and they have to have the rates posted). If a vehicle has been abandoned on your property for a month or two you can sell it at public auction (as long as you've followed the long list of legal steps correctly). You need to have a reason for booting a car. If you are on private property, proper signs of the rules have been posted, and you break the rules, then they can boot. They can also give you a 'ticket' (technically it's compensation for a breach of contract or something silly; it's basically fluff you can ignore unless they've already nabbed your car).

We do this from various class-b office conference rooms, seldom the same one twice (we rotate between different board member's office with various phone setups). Invariably, someone can't come and needs to dial in. We are left with using a cell phone sitting in the middle of the table, or a consumer speakerphone on a POTS line. Is there some kind of omnidirectional microphone that I can plug into my laptop to pickup a room full of speakers? I don't need this to be broadcast on C-Span, just good enough for someone on Skype or somesuch to hear, without having to hand the microphone around (which is rather disruptive).

If that's the case you can use your if statement to return the A value (instead of 1), then filter the column to remove the 0's, and filter B to be above your value.

So there are duplicate A values and you want to keep all of them as long as one of their B values is above the threshold? If you use your current if statement you can still filter the rows in excel rather than exporting to awk and then back in: Select all the columns, filter, then uncheck 0 in the drop down box.

Technically it isn't a sentence since there isn't a verb. If you semi-colon the previous sentence you could turn it into a prepositional phrase, "with more money came more cocaine". You could imply the 'came' as "with more money, more cocaine".

You might want to try a "site survey" program like InSSIDer http://www.inssider.com/downloads/ to get information on the relative signal strengths of wireless networks around you, and to take the computer around where you live to figure out if some areas are having more interference than others. It could be as simple to fix your problems as changing the channel on your router to one with less interferences. It should be noted that the old version, inSSIDer 2.0, is free and can be found through google, while the newer versions are all paid licenses.

The farthest ends of rivers do dry up. The ground, however, is able to absorb a lot of water and release it slowly over time. Snow also stores a lot up water upstream. Then there are underground aquifers and springs. All of those combine over a huge area to keep large rivers flowing year round.

huh.. Not sure how I missed that. I guess I just assumed he was thinking of a traditional water clock. In that case it becomes a buoyancy problem. You'd still use Bernoulli's equation, but you'd have to calculate how the buoyant force changes as a function of height (it should be linear for a cylinder so you'd just need to know it's dry and sunk weight) and then use that to calculate your pressure difference. I don't believe it changes the equation much, but I'm clearly too tired to think.
