It still looks and plays great, but it's kind of lame that the Weapon Master mode is just a single story, unrelated to any real characters and you can select any character at any time. It's kind of sad that it seems like the story and characterisation totally peaked with the original Soul Edge. Maybe it's just that nobody cares about having that kind of thing in the games any more, but it definitely made it more fun for me. fighting game intro songs definitely peaked with soul blade
