Is that guy talking about Orange Cassidy like he’s going to imminently stop taking indie bookings meaningful, or is he just some dude speculating he’s going to go to AEW/assuming he has because he was in the Battle Royale?

Would bet significant sums of money that Jericho (and probably Lance too) is exactly as politically engaged as my in-laws and would be hearing about 80% of the lovely things the Trumps and Republicans have done since the election for the first time when you told him about them.

Their experiences are obviously universal, so why would anyone get so upset about politics and why even bother to consider that someone else experiences the world differently?

This is not a defense.

TV Zombie posted:

Unless the Brandi stuff pays off at the PPV, they could have cut that to promote Riho's match though it seems as if those in charge weren't sure who to put up against Riho or were equally unsure about putting a women's title match on the card, based on how things were planned out before the PPV in terms of build for the various matches.

How long have they had to plan from the first PPV to now?

During press this weekend Cody has talked about how they’re hoping to elevate the women to more equal footing with the men and tag divisions. I get the sense that Full Gear is the end of Phase 1 of AEW, and Kylie Rae leaving really disrupted their plans for the women’s division, and they didn’t recover well enough while executing the rest of their original plans (and given that a significant part of their Plan B all had to balance AEW commitments with commitments in Japan, I guess I kind of get it).

If they don’t effectively rebalance the focus over the next couple episodes of Dynamite, I’ll be done giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah, give Tully someone to align with Spears and then feud with The Revival. I don't think you make The Revival heels if they make the jump, at least not out of the gate. I think people would be too excited to see them returning to their old form to boo them.

I don’t have a strong feeling either way regarding how to align a debuting Revival, but the AEW arena crowd seem very willing to provide the intended reaction to heels in return for good heeling.
