Lorne Michaels commitment to live scripted sketch comedy in the face of decades of evidence against that format is something to behold.

In shame, I left the final show of tour early to catch the last train home. Can't wait to find out how that Would You Rather ended, because it went off the loving rails. Alan Thicke and Jesse Ventura made for an interesting pair.

It ain't the same show without jukebox jury. Seems like years since they played that game.

wafflesnsegways posted:Oh yeah, CBB fans might want to take a look at WITS. Imagine that Scott quit CBB and turned it over to Garrison Keillor. It's exactly as great and exactly as lame as that sounds, simultaneously. Every episode has something wonderful and something cringe-inducing, and you never know when either one is coming. Be sure to check out their youtube videos too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BID93IsPMg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjoGb3SQn80

ArtVandelay posted:To everyone who's gone to a show so far, about how long have they been going. Neil Campbell does like 30 minutes of standup and then the 90 or so minute show? I went to their last DC show in 2014 and had to leave before they were done. Tompkins and Adomian could not stop making pop culture references at each other. Can't speak for the current tour.

If you read between the fine lines, Cody is already locked in Scott's dungeon never to see the light of day again.

EL BROMANCE posted:Are there any recommended Jukebox Jury's, as I've been listening for years (before it was CBB) and I don't recall ever hearing one based on a combination of not listening to every episode and inability to make it to the end as I listen going to sleep. Due to the latter it's literally taken me no less than 15 attempts to finish the 8th year anniversary, and it was worth every moment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6J_tN3h_y4
