When I open my daily pages with Daily Links, not all of the pages load, and I have to refresh a bunch of them. Does anyone know how I could increase the timeout time limit or something? FWIW, it opens about 10 pages at once.

EDIT: Since SALR is in the OP, you might want to consider this forums redesign. Please don't derail the thread with discussion on its fixed width though.

Newest version of AdBlock was disabled because an update for it now allows it more permissions...when I go to enable, it now says it can access data on all website, and tabs and browsing activity...

Am I being paranoid for thinking that something like AdBlock has no business doing that?

On the page for AdBlock Plus, it mentions that Chrome shows that warning for all extensions that modify the contents of pages. I highly doubt the permissions were different before. If they were, though, feel free to :tinfoil:.

Fake Edit:

Chrome AdBlock posted:

** NOTE REGARDING PERMISSION UPGRADES, February 2 2012 **

A bug in Chrome is disabling AdBlock and asking you to re-confirm the permissions that you agreed to when you installed. It was triggered when I tried to add popup blocking to AdBlock.

Don't worry, nothing nasty is going on, other than the fact that AdBlock wasn't supposed to be disabled!

You can safely confirm and re-enable AdBlock. Sorry for the mess. See chromeadblock.com/help/?disablebug for a little more detail.

Some people like the current functionality. I remember installing an addon that made tabs open directly beside the current one way back when on firefox.

When I'm working on a research project, I'll often have pinned tabs, and multiple windows open. Sometimes, I'll close the window with the pinned tabs before remembering that I have other windows open. Is there a way to keep the pinned tabs persistent between sessions unless I remove them manually, or will I have to use an extension of some sort?

Does anyone use Ctrl+click to open links in new tabs? One of the recent updates does something loopy where it sometime will create 2 new tabs opening the same link.

I only mention it now because it just opened a new link into 3 tabs...

I use Ctrl+click on my laptop, but I haven't seen any extra tabs pop up. I'm running Stable (17.0.963.83).

Some of my highlights.

Xmarks - Bookmark syncing. Can access them by logging on to their website.

Daily Links - Loads websites depending on the day of the week. Useful for keeping up with webcomics, or other sites that update regularly.

RSS Live Links - Not sure how it compares to RSS Subscription Extension, but it works for me.

Sexy Undo Close Tab - Useful for searching for that tab you closed a couple dozen tabs ago. It enables annoying ads at the bottoms of pages, but you can easily disable them.

Youtube added a new feature that limits how much a video will buffer ahead and stops the video buffering when paused. I'm not sure if there's any way to work around it.

I'm not at my computer right now, but try Smart Video. The last update was at the end of November, so it might not work anymore, but I used it in the past to help buffer youtube videos.

I don't remember when I first saw that, but it's a nice feature. Usually, though, I don't see it because if a page is taking noticeably longer than usual, I go right to https://isup.me, or the longer big brother, https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com.

I've been having this weird issue with youtube recently. I haven't seen any rhyme or reason as to when it happens, but sometimes after I watch a video, there will be this persistent grey rectangle that appears. It doesn't cover the video, but it covers everything else, and I haven't figured a way to get rid of it, save for closing the tab. Anyone else have this issue?

Actually, I was just noticing that today. It happens even if I open an incognito window, so it doesn't seem to be extension related. Version 27.0.1453.94 m

If you type about :flags there's an option for stacked tabs you might want to look at. This addon has an option to be able to scroll through your tabs.

One of the permissions when installing is that the extension can "access your data on all websites." I realize Google can do the same, but somehow I doubt they care about the money in my bank account, whereas I don't want this random person who wrote the extension to have access.
If you're concerned about that, but still want to use speed dial, or whatever other extension, just do your online banking in an incognito window.

What's a good RSS feed extension? I used to use RSS Live Links, but apparently that's been removed from the store. I looked at the google one, but whenever I try to add a feed, it just takes me to some random site. I also looked at this one, but it won't even present entries in order.

Any suggestions?
