Known as the "Carbon fiber PV", since what they did was take a PV444, strip the unibody bare, measure it, and then remake it completely from CRP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zyDgepdRDY

Poor Volvo 340s & 360s, most of them so unloved.

If it's over 50-60k it'll be an interesting side note in history. Back in 1995 the list price of the Supra Turbo was around $48k, which adjusted for inflation would be $73500 today.

PSA gearboxes are quite bad (sloppy linkages, floaty feel) even when new, and the old MA/BE boxes weren't any better. He's just used to it, I guess. But I'm more impressed by this than the latest "DOES THE RING IN LESS THAN X" supercar.

Being great at different disciplines also has a lot to do with willpower/drive. Gunde Svan, a former swedish cross-country skier won four golds, one silver and one bronze medal at the Winter Olympics during his career. He also won seven golds, three silvers and one bronze at the World Ski Championships, plus winning the World Cup five times. After retiring from skiing, he took up rallycross. quote:As a competitor in rallycross he got one gold medal in the Swedish Championship and a bronze medal in the FIA European Championship for Rallycross Drivers (1995: Division 1 – Group N category; with a Toyota Celica GT-Four). One of the reasons for getting into another sport was that some people called him a natural skier while he himself maintained that it's just a matter of will and dedication, according to his famous tagline "nothing is impossible". He applied the same methods to his driving as his skiing and even built his own reaction-tester to practice the for rallycross eminently important starts.

When I looked through my pictures, I realised these were taken ten years ago, jfc where did all that life go? Anywho, here are (the only two) pictures I took of this car when Midnattsolsrallyt (a historical rally) was arranged around here. Yes, that's a 1958 300SL Roadster, driven IIRC by a man aged 65+ with his wife as co-driver. That's a goddamn million dollar car, being used as a rally car (so I can't really fault the guy for being a bit slow as evidenced by this video). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRB-zqlzLg0 Some of the other guys step on it a bit more, some really nice cars and sounds in that vid.
