Speaking of terrible car stuff, I've often wondered if the Chevrolet Niva falls in that category. AvtoVAZ meets GM. That can only end well.

Can't be that terrible if they have sold a half million. :v:

I read it was one of the most stolen vehicles in Russia, but that's not saying much. I saw some undercarriage shots and it was almost surreal to me. I think they took the VAZ mechanicals and suspension, spruced up some of it a touch (ABS etc) and nailed it to a GM shell. I won't deny I kind of want one, but such a dated and agricultural drivetrain in a reasonably modern vehicle is just kind of weird.

I'd rather a true Lada Niva over a Chevy Niva. :shepicide:

Actually, it's how Isadora Duncan was killed, interestingly enough.

Duncan's fondness for flowing scarves contributed to her death in an automobile accident in Nice, France, when she was a passenger in an Amilcar. Her silk scarf, draped around her neck, became entangled around the open-spoked wheels and rear axle, breaking her neck.

i like donks - i am the terrible car stuff.

Speaking of donks, I finally saw my first donk in the wild today. Except it wasn't one of those really well done themed donks. All I saw when I was turning was that it was green and there was "Green Lantern" written out in what looked like green tape on the sill.
