It's compressed. I think you can just unzip it. Alternatively you can resave the game, but choose to not compress the save.

You should take a look in the landed_titles file and look for e_new_valyria or whatever it is and look for any special requirements. I bet that bravoos is not allowed to create a valyrian empire because it would be dumb historically.

They should borrow more ideas from EU Rome. Sure, it's not as good of a game, but it had alot of flavour and differences between characters and countries.

Yeah, you should have gotten the usual warning about an adventurer preparing an attack. Might be a bug or you disabled the event somehow? Could also be the Seljuk invasion?

You are not losing any money from tradeposts. If it is the event i'm thinking of the other republic should be paying you for going to war for them, and you'll get more money if you win so that's the only pro i can think of.

All the mods get hosed almost every time there's a patch so while one release may be awesome and bugfree, another may be hopelessy incomplete and buggy. You shouldn't judge the mod on just one release.

Who would have thought that if you make the game good, people will actually like it despite low interest in an old crappy inceration. It's not like people who loved CK1 or Rome don't enjoy the same stuff in CK2 as everyone else, we just had to be willing to see past the bugs and lovely mechanics in previous games.

The Abbasids are suffering from an endless Nestorian revolt in Socotra in my game. That CB should probably have a ticking warscore, or maybe make island rebels capable of taking ships over to the mainland like Wiz managed in EU IV. Does anyone know if the caliph has to be at peace to declare a Jihad? I don't think there will be any in that case.

Edit: oh yeah, thanks. I just forcibly ended the war with the imprison command.

Yup, i am now disabling all the graphical DLC except portraits. Wish I knew it would screw my performance before I bought it, though I guess I should have known. Unless the graphical DLC released with Rajas of India had a huge impact on performance, then India definitely also made a huge difference with the added characters, mechanics and provinces which I could do without.

You can mouse over your county title icons and it will tell you the order of succession. Wouldn't surprise me if the tanist only gets the duchy.

It has to be a bug since there's no notification that they say they're staying independent, and no hit to diplomacy or anything.

For example, after I won the war The Westerlands were still independent so I declared war on them and won, bringing them back into The Iron Throne. Except then The North never came back. I declared war on Braavos and everyone split up again. After winning, The Westerlands didn't come back. Sort of dumb that something like that happens.

Are you sure they're not at war with someone or that you waited a few years? Otherwise it's a bug.

Sorry, not the name displayed in the launcher, but the foldername and .mod name. Open the .mod file in a texteditor and you'll see the difference.

What i do is find the modfolder and look for modname.mod. Open that in notepad++, then i remove all spaces and rename the modnamefolder to match.

This will make CK2 remember:

name = "Lux Invicta v0.6J1"
path = "mod/LuxInvicta"
user_dir = "LuxInvicta"

It would not remember this:

name = "Lux Invicta v0.6J1"
path = "mod/Lux Invicta"
user_dir = "LuxInvicta"

Remember that the folder also has to be renamed.

I remember prisoner asking for a better accommodations happening all the time before, but for a long time (many patches ago) I've never seen it. Does the event look like it will ever fire if you just look at the vanilla event files?

This is the same with vanilla and every mod I've tried.
