The weirdest thing just happened. I was Wonder Trading some Dittos, and after a few minutes I get a trading request. It was one of the guys I WT'ed, trying to give me back the Ditto I gave him. I guess he was too emotionally attached to his Doduo.

After dabbling a while with Pokémon eugenics, I'm ready to Wonder Trade a whole box of Torchics of varying natures. Gotta share the blessings. Each of them carries a Moomoo milk and a custom dumb nickname, because some kids get extra pissed off about getting nicknamed pokeymans.

Is anyone else having issues using the GTS? I can search and deposit Pokémon without issues, but when I try to trade with another user, it goes "Cheching GTS status..." for a few seconds and then a gray screen with "A communication error has occured. Press the POWER Button, and end the game". Every single time, and I have to do just that, because it's impossible to return to the main menu using the Home button. I just want a Fennekin, Jesus Christ.

What are the requirements to make the third pokémon appear in the friend zone safaris, besides the player being online and playing the game at the same time as you? Because I just spent quite a while wading around the same two monsters again and again and the dude's face is lightened up, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong (unless, of course, they have bullshit low appear rates). Also, poison safaris shouldn't have Gloom and Ariados. That's cheating, game.

I finally goy Alpha Sapphire! It's amazing how the gift Beldum just trashes mons, even if I overleveled him and now he's all "gently caress you, you're not my real dad".less laughter posted:And make Bug weak to Poison and Psychic immune to Ghost again  Fake edit: poo poo, now that I think about it, the loss of the Poison weakness could be explained in-world by Bug types acquiring pesticide resistance over time.

I'm going to start a new Black 2 save, and was thinking about a gimmick run using only Dream Radar Pokémon. However, the obtainable monster list seems kinda limited: -Munna -Drifloon -Riolu -Sigiliph -Swablu -Igglybuff -Shuckle -Staryu -Porygon -Bronzor -Ralts -Togepi -Smoochum -Rotom -Spiritomb -Hoothoot -Slowpoke -Beldum -The loving genies (I don't have any Gen IV games, bye Lugia and pals) IVs are going to be all over the place (and way below perfect). Also, since they pulled GTS support and I don't know anyone who plays this poo poo, trade evolutions are a no-go, so RIP Slowking and Porygon*. This is going to be single player, of course, so I'm going to need a swimmer (Either Staryu or Slowpoke), a flier (bunch of poo poo to pick, but I guess the solidest choice is to evolve Togepi) and a boulder pusher (Lucario? loving BRONZONG?). Also, Rotom. I'm still thinking about this, but maybe it has the potential to be fun. Can't wait to crash and burn!

I think it could be cool if Game Freak does the Pokémon Yellow thing for XY2 / Z: you get the Zygarde tadpole as your starter monster, and then people give you the other three guys as you progress through the story. It ain't gonna happen, but still.

I think I've posted this before, but Bug being weak to Poison made sense back in gen I. This isn't the case anymore because bug types have developed pesticide resistance.

I vaguely remember Masuda hinting that the next generation would take place in England, but I might be misremembering/confusing it with something else.
