I think you're in for a disappointment. There's no way they have finished any of the X-Men casting yet, and there's no way they're bringing back the previous actors to just confuse things in the long run. Plus, I think it's pretty unlikely that Marvel/Disney is going to construct their entire mutant outlay around a treadworn, half-clever nerd meme that would only make sense if you read House of M.

My guess is we'll get Quicksilver or Ultron or Old Man Steve Rogers or like the cyber ghost of Tony Stark. MAYBE Dr. Strange, Baron Mordo, or maaaybe Magik

It’s been pretty much confirmed x-men’s quicksilver is appearing

I think I know who I think I figured out what actor Paul Bettany was talking about when he said “I get to work with this actor that is a total secret. I have been longing to work with and act with [them] for years and I finally got to and it was amazing. Fireworks exploded and it was great.”

Based off this episode It’s Paul Bettany

Completely unrelated, but it's still hilarious to me Storm was able to clown him without any powers and he's supposed to be the most tactically minded X-man.

Later had it revealed that he either threw it so he could go with his family so he could abandon them or it was due to Madelyne making him throw it

I assume it'll be typical Marvel Comics style "heroes battle due to misunderstanding, then team up to fight the true foe" thing. Strange and Wanda fight at the end of act 1, spend act 2 butting heads while Mordo/Cthon/whoever clowns on them, act 3 they get their poo poo together and I dunno, rescue America Chavez and Wanda's kids from the baddie by yelling Latin and wiggling their fingers at it.

It's basically a process of removing their filters. So at first they are maybe a little louder and a little more open in their prejudice, but they eventually progress to....you know, more than that.

It's kind of torture porn-y, insomuch as the only narrative goal it serves is to show that Dee has gotten his hands on some very serious power, and he's also a total monster in how he uses it. You don't really need an entire story to get to that point, when the pay off is so trivially obvious. Guess what, the random jackass that stole power is in fact going to get punked by the cosmic being he stole it from. WHO EVER COULD SEE THAT COMING?! As Gaiman says, you can kind of just skip it and you'll miss nothing.

It does however have some connections with later stories. Specifically one of the victims girlfriend and friend

I'm going to put the resolution of the story behind a spoiler in case people don't want to know the aftermath of 24 hours for Sandman.

The resolution of Dee's battle with Morpheus rubbed me the wrong way. I haven't read the story in ages but after 24 Hours, Dee fights Sandman, of course he loses but Morpheus thanks Dee for pushing him to his limits and reminding him of who he used to be/what he gave up when he created the Dream stone and releases Dee into Arkham where he can be among the other crazies. After seeing the absolute horror that is 24 Hours, which is an entire issue, it just felt like there wasn't a real punishment, or anything, especially considering how Morpheus treated others in the story arc (like the endless nightmare stuff). Maybe Gaiman was trying to show that Morpheus didn't really care about the affects on people and such but Dee got off way too easily after showing how evil he was

This was a man who sent a lover to hell just because she spurned him. His morality when it came to things like humanity were completely hosed up. Do not forget what he was going to do to the vortex. If you did not slight him he was beneath his notice. It’s one of the reason he does what he does that ends in kindly ones.
