If it's low duty just buy a Tripp-Lite because you aren't going to gain anything useful out of the more expensive APC stuff.

They all have replaceable batteries unless you buy something ultra ultra cheap.

At low $$$ it's all the same poo poo, but if you want something like PowerChute then I'd go APC.

i'm going to be moving my computer into a room where there's a light switch that controls the power outlet, so i just need to make sure i don't accidentally ruin everything

i've got these speakers, "audioengine 2+" they're called. i swear it seems like when i play games, sound effects are loud but people talking are very quiet. there are only two speakers, and I don't think any kind of more-complicated setup is configured. do you think something is wrong with my computer or with my ears?

are you certain those particular games are set for Stereo sound and not set as Surround in the settings?

cuz that happens if the game is set for surround, but you only have 2.0 plugged in, so the center channel audio goes into nowhere

if that's the case, and you set it as "stereo" then it downmixes the center channel audio (voices) into the L/R channels

you know that sound an iphone makes when you plug it in? what does it mean when it makes that sound without being plugged in, or when it's been plugged in for an hour already. there are no notifications on the screen, but this seems to happen every couple of days
