Can anyone recommend a good putter repair place? I have a Bettinardi SS15 that has a slight dent in the top line. It's close enough to center that it's distracting.

I'm sure that going directly through Bettinardi is probably my best bet, I'm just curious.

Hey guys, a newbie golfer here... I've noticed that to get the club flat on the ground I have to either, choke up quite a bit on the shaft, or stand far away from the ball with a very upright stance. Neither of these is very comfortable and my swing feels very awkward and clumsy. Is this a situation in where I have to get clubs shortened /adjusted? I am pretty short at 5ft 7in so I'm guessing thats why I"m having these issues?

Go take a lesson, it's probably more mechanics related than anything unless you're really oddly proportioned since 5'7" shouldn't be out of the norm for standard length shafts, but a pro would be able to help you with that too.

Jiminez had every right to watch what his competitor in match play was doing. The "Pepsi" caddy should have had MAJ beat the gently caress out of him rather than a shut up. Pepsi's job, besides not-so-subtly-endorsing-a-cola- brand isto carry a bag and shut the gently caress up. Not to interject his opinion on match he is not playing in. I guess Keegan got his panties in a bunch, in keeping with his LPGA royal lineage.

I played a 6 hour round on Sunday with a bachelor party, it was terrible.

The course was totally full of duffers shanking their way around(including the bachelor party I was with).

I had the third best score out of our three groups and shot a mulligan free 100. The two guys I played with shot "122" and "130" with a good dozen mulligans each, it was torture.

I'm playing here http://www.twisteddune.com/ Monday for the second time.

It's a really cool course, it was the dumping ground for all the land dug up for the Atlantic City casinos but what I really like is that it's in a bowl so you don't see anything other than golf course for the entire 18 holes which is kind of rare in New Jersey.

Great course, I try to play it once a year. Has a bad pace of play problem though. Last year I played 16 holes in 5.5 hours, and was on pace to shoot my best round ever. Went out in 43 but I was +2 through 7 on the back 9 and we got kicked off the course because it was dark.

That's why I play at midday on weekdays, rarely have any issues.

The heat was really getting to me, and each bad shot led to another and another and I reached peak poo poo when I came down on top of my club after I lost balance taking a reckless swing in an attempt to crush a 5W. Bruised, beaten, and tired I finished with yet another string of pars.

How poo poo is poo poo? If you can't regularly shape a golf ball you shouldn't be playing a Pro-V, it will just hurt your game.

Balls that are designed to go straighter obviously won't give you the control around the greens that a Pro-V will but you also won't be side spinning into the junk, or at least as far into the junk.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the help. I stopped in the course that is just around the corner from me for the first time and the guy was super nice and helpful. I'm going back this week to hit a few drivers and see what fits me.

Part of the problem is I have money burning a hole in my pocket, but I just can't justify spending a lot on a new driver. I do not want to be the guy that shows up with $4000 in equipment and shanks a drive 200 yards on the first tee. I really feel like I want to earn the right (so to say) of purchasing good, expensive equipment, rather than the other way around.

Don't worry, if you shank it the ball won't go 200 yards.

Scratch Golf is going out of business which is a bummer.

http://www.golfwrx.com/331212/scratch-golf-is-going-out-of-business/

I use their 8620 cast wedges which have been out of stock for several years now but I guess I'll hope to find some of their forged wedges on the cheap in the coming months.

They along with Bettinardi have been one of the few companies where I have been able to email one of their execs directly and almost immediately get a response so I'm going to miss those guys.

Play less, practice more. Using December in New Jersey is a bad example but I managed to play six times I think, and that was with working 6 days a week as well. I don't track the number of rounds I play but I may have played close to 100 this year and haven't gotten any better.

I rarely practice and as someone who has never broken 90 that's obviously a horrible idea.

Spring plans are to take a bunch of lessons and actually make use of the resources I have available to me.

Cool photo, what are the greens like in that kind of weather? Worst I've played in is early morning frost.

Mostly unplayable, there was probably a good half inch of snow on them the last couple holes and the ball would pick up snow as it rolled, making it roll like a football. A five foot downhill putt would have to be hit like a 15 foot uphill putt.

The only good thing was that you could go directly at the flags and the ball would just stick, a big change from the start of the round when the greens were partially frozen and were acting like trampolines or doing that interesting thing where the ball would hit the green, not bounce at all, and then roll out like crazy.

I don't need irons, I like the irons I use, I just can't pass up a golf deal.

Thank God I don't look at the BST on GolfWRX very often. Although I did buy a set of MP-32s from a guy for $100 on there and then immediately tried to play with them. Worst round of golf I've ever played but I'm sure the Rifle 6.5 shafts didn't help my 30 handicap game.

Edit: scratch #1 looks like it ships from somewhere near me either in NC, Virgina, SC since I am 1 day transit no matter what shipping method I choose. Now if only my stuff would ship!
