Oregon's surplus without subsidies is larger than revenues generated by 200 other schools. Their surplus is almost greater than the bottom 15 revenues combined.

Here's his original ad: http://www.exoticanimalsforsale.net/wallabies-for-sale.asp Not much to see there, other than the fact that there are apparently lots of people out there looking to buy, sell, or trade wallabies.

Got to hear the guy running the Austin Sports Commission this morning talk about the Austin Bowl that will now happen in 2016. Long story short: they claim to have DKR Stadium, time slots with either CBS or NBC, and sponsors lined up. They're holding out primarily for a Big 12 tie-in, and think they have a reasonable chance of getting it by waiting for the Independence Bowl to die after this year on account of their own sponsorship turnover. Didn't share a whole lot more than that because he spent the majority of the time selling Austin as a premier destination to people who live here.

That Works posted:

Austin has rapidly turned into a much better place to visit than to live so it's probably going to be a nice bowl game site with the distance from DKR to downtown etc. The transit system is bullshit if you live anywhere but immediately adjacent to the city but it's great if you are in a hotel downtown and want to see things here and there and go to the game.

Local gov't is committed to expanding at all costs, and state gov't actively seeks to gently caress with Austin at every possible opportunity, so that transit issue isn't getting resolved any time soon. People will live out their lives waiting to exit off of 35 to go downtown.
