It is literally fun as hell, right now i'm punching sequences through it, pushing that into my ms20, and see what weird noises I can make. Got a noise/weird show to do next month with a rag tag group I perform with and I've been upgraded to "main noise conductor" for this show, so I'm trying to get weird with it.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-6_jRMOnCjPVjY4NXkwWDMzR1k/view?usp=sharing Here is a bleep boop weird chanty thing that one of my friends started (the person on vocals) from last night live. I ran background mixing from a guitarist, a couple of synths I was working (monotribe and ms20) another group of weird chanters, and had out on a table in front of the stage the werkstatt, a microkorg, monotron delay, kaossilator pro, and electribe (poo poo my synths are korg heavy as gently caress, other companies start being affordable). I'm not much for the chanting, but I do love making noise with folks. Got paid by the bar in PBR, feels good man.

Mostly cause that whole "moog" name. I've thought about getting some minifoogers, but unless they were on sale I wouldn't buy them. I've played with the moogerfoogers in the store, and I ihaven't taken one apart but they're built solid.

also, i will not apologize right now for being a korg fanboy, mostly because they started the race to make awesome synths again at affordable prices. I eyed things for years, but until that ms20mini was released I never figured it was worth pulling the trigger on a passing fancy. I am jealous though of an actual musician friend of mine who was playing a house show for some guy in georgia, and at the end the dude went "oh hey, sorry we can't pay you, but I have this king korg I bought last year. . . I've turned it on once. You want it?"

a friend just left, he brought his toddler over to "creepy uncle enotnerts" house, which had fun, she has more conversational skills than many adults I know, and she saw her dad playing with a guitar string I have nailed to a 2x4, and wanted to play. . . so I gave her the ms20 she hit keys on the patch I had and I went "bleep bloop" and showed her she could turn a knob, she started turning knobs, and when she took off the headphones I asked "bleep bloop?" "no bapp fart" I put the phones on and drat, a kick drum and then a fart wave. Kids not even 3, smart as gently caress and kept wanting to play.

yeah, did a rehearsal with friends tonight for a "noise witch project" that is moving more toward "dance witch" I'm pretty versed in a DAW or two, and suck at actually playing, my friend controlling all the sound is versed in all of the above (he's mastered a few albums recently you may have heard if you're into nerdcore), and then the lead who literally. . . nothing about music. We hosed around on an old 4track cassette mixer for a while, then rerigged into a motu, and I gave him things I knew from rehearsing with the lead without him, and ended up just making a thing that sounded good with all of screwing around on top of a few premade beats, and a few samples preprogrammed to lead us in a direction

it's mostly the lead singer feels themself a witch, and recites weird poo poo while people with musical training make noises. it's pretty stupid, but hey once a month or so I goto a bar, play noises and get paid in PBR.

No. But I don't want it shifting too much. There's already a lot of non-linearity in the system and the idea behind the digital part is be fairly stable so as to better exploit the instability of the analog part. And sometimes make beats. Id' be interested to know what ic's he was using and what the stability issues were. Drift? Software communication, etc? Which forum are you on? Thanks!"

the stuff i do jamming with a friend has me pushing my analog stuff into software, re-exporting via analog to his mixer then flying into another rig. There are a lot of ways of going about it, it's just according to how crazy you want to go, but if you have a center controlled DAW, you can slice up midi controllers to control different soft synths on tablets and poo poo gets weird real quick.
