otoh there's a lot of differences between the UK and canada. there shouldn't be renewed interest in the bloc quebecois, the labour leader equivalent isn't hopelessly unappealing, and the left wing party didn't decide to engage in an unholy union with the ruling party, instead they've been the official opposition
