Remember when I didn't like ADVENT's alien-gibberish?

So in the intro cinematic Bradford gets stopped at a checkpoint by ADVENT TSA. Instead of "Halt, citizen. We need to check you for weapons" they screech at him in alien tongue and beat him when he doesn't comply with whatever the gently caress it is they wanted.

I feel like a civilization capable of FTL travel, planetary invasion, and genetic manipulation on this scale should have anticipated this issue.

Maybe you can elaborate on what the problem is.

Got my GMG key, pre-loading now.

GMG sends you two keys, in the wrong order it seems. The top key is DLC, steam kicks back an error "hey you need to activate the original game first"
Second key activated XCOM 2 and the warrior pack. First key seems redundant.

Get hype.

They'd probably also greatly benefit a blade-specc'd ranger.

As another person on 3440x1440, I am not looking forward to hitting this at all on a single GTX 970. I turned down resolution in most other games to make it work out for me but I'm just hoping that the SLI is the problem rather than the game is murder on GPUs.

It was murder on single GTX 970 as well.

However, massive improvement was found turning the resolution down. I usually play XCOM in a window anyway because it lends well to multitasking. At 1920x1200 I set things back to almost max.

Anybody else have Overwatch just refuse to engage sometimes? I don't understand why 4 identical rookies wont all go into overwatch...

One turn, two of them wont do it. Next turn, all four are fine. Turn after, only 3 will do it.

It wasn't technically required but it encouraged players to move faster. That's why they made meld work the way it did.

Honestly I haven't really found the timers to be all that restrictive. As long as you move forward reasonably quickly you have more than enough time to battle your way across the map.

edit: and on veteran, many of the timers are 8 rounds. I've seen 12 on some missions.

First Sectopod sighting occurs when his trooper escort walks out of the building, triggering overwatch and activating the pod. Sectopod has no LOS so it comes stomping out of the building through the garage door, destroying it in the process. Then it stomps over a goddamned truck and blows it up.

Unfortunately for the sectopod I have a grenadier with a plasma cannon and bluescreen rounds.

Hack chance went from 24% to... 26%. I'm really not impressed! At least its armor is gone.

Doesn't affect my opinion of the game at all just wondered if this is a known issue with optimisation etc etc, might be sorted by new drivers or patches.

Anti-aliasing seems to be a huge bottleneck. I had things chugging like crazy on an SLI 970 setup. Turned down a bunch of stuff. Then I tried setting everything to maximum and only having ant-aliasing set to FXAA. Runs smooth.

No. Research Resistance Communications and you'll open up connection slots. These let you fly to the grey'd out countries and establish contact. (after scanning in the new country for a few days)

This costs intel, and will cost more intel based on the distance from radio towers. (which you can build in areas you have contact)
