I normally ignore bizarrely incorrect perceptions of me that are based on backforming an excuse for not liking me rather than anything I've said or done, even when hilariously wrong (e.g. twice-over not a WASP), but it's hard to imagine how someone came across the notion I'm pro-eugenics when I'm so stridently anti-eugenics that that's what people bitch me out for. I think people have the right to decide whether or not to have biological children with absolutely no regard to their genetics or potential genetics of their children. I don't think people should experience external pressure even in cases like Hunington's or Tay-Sachs, and should not feel any guilt for choosing to have children likely or certain to inherit these or any other conditions. I actually think it's horrifying we're already seeing people congratulate themselves for opting out based on natural human variation like clubbed thumbs. GATTACA poo poo. My reasons for this aren't important and this isn't the place to argue them, but there are plenty of credible reasons not to like me without deciding you dislike me and then ascribing values you think are odious to me in order to justify it to yourself. Eugenics is poo poo.
