It's probably the same people who want stuff to be darker and more mature, so we end up with poo poo like Batman vs Superman and James Bond movies where the main villian is some lame water baron with no personality.

super loving small complaints and questions...
- at one point in the movie I thought to myself most of these characters are pretty bland... then they all died and I found I cared about them more than I thought, but not enough to start crying like a bitch, so the characters were perfect.
- Darth Vaders voice didnt seem right
- when the old rebel leader chick and jimmy smits were talking... Jimmy says "I'll find my jedi friend that has been in hiding" (I'm thinking obi-wan of course) Then I think he says "I know I can trust HER"... maybe I miss heard or maybe I missed something and he was talking about Obi and Leia...

to people saying it was boring until the last 5 minutes... that is just loving wrong... perhaps the rest of the movie is "boring" in comparison with the last 5 minutes, BUT THAT IS MOSTLY BECAUSE THE LAST 5 MINUTES IS THE ONLY NON-PORN SCENE PUT TO FILM THAT GOT MY DICK HARD FOR THE LAST 40 YEARS!!!

If this ending didnt happen this movie would still be better than the prequels and TFA. I think with the ending it had... it may be better than empire. and i cant believe I'm even contemplating that.

EDIT... 40 years

They're probably talking about the famous star wars character SNIPS from the clone wars cartoon.

If they just added some more character development this movie would have been way better. Everyone's said it, and it's still true.

I have a feeling the original version was far better but that's how it always seems to go. I'd like to see it one day but it'll never make it out.

Yea, I really liked the movie but it felt like they were afraid of making the characters stand out more because they all die.

RLM seem more pissed at the cinema audience they saw with this rather than the movie which I think jaded their review. I also don't really think things like AT-AT walkers, Tie fighters or lightsabers are fan service and complaining about them is like getting annoyed that there's a Sherman tank in a WW2 movie. I wouldn't even say that Leia was fan service as it's a direct bridge between the films.

I'll bet good money on the consensus opinion being that Rogue One sucked in, say, 6 months. I mean, look at the last few pages, people *hate* The Force Awakens now. They loving hate it. That wasn't the general opinion when it came out. Explain that, mr internet contrarian man.

That's because only insane losers are going to be arguing over a movie 6 months from now when everyone else doesn't care.

I like starship troopers and appreciate it's mocking fascism but all the crazy conspiracy theories about the asteroid being planned by Earth is craaazy. The reason there's plot holes around it is because it's a movie and it doesn't need to make sense when it comes to travel times or how Earth could of missed it.

Unless you're going for the full the entire movie is actually a propoganda piece created by the evil space government and doesn't show you how events actually unfolded, but then you're in cinema discussion territory and just making poo poo up.

How many more years of box office dominance do you think comic book movies have? Specifically the MCU? How many more years can this trend continue?

Probably indefinitely? they're fun and varied, and comic book movies have been popular for like 20-30 years. If we're talking marvel specifically I'm gonna go with at least a decade until the current actors really can't play the same character anymore.
