Desperately attention seeking AMERICA livery.

0 american drivers.

0 sponsors.

In fact 3 of the prototypes have GIANT AMERICAN FLAGS and there's a grand total of 0 Americans in the cars.

ByKolles are switching to Nissan's leftover LMP1 engine (without the hybrid) for the WEC this season in their quest for reliability.

Hopefully it includes a working fuel pump since they burned through around 8 of them at Le Mans.

That's a very strange choice, although their straight line speeds weren't bad even without the hybrid I guess.

If nothing else, it's nice to have confirmation the comedy car will be back to somehow lose LMP1-L in a field of one.

Nope. Haven't seen updated practice times, but the Ducati always takes guys time to adjust. I feel like it's almost even, and the Suzuki will be better anyways.

I also can't remember offhand if any fuel/etc allowances that Ducati and Suzuki both got to encourage and help them will go away.

Neither get any this year I believe. I think KTM and Aprilia still get something.

Although the German national TCR series has over 40 entries.

So they've hosed up something with the organisation of the international series. I'm guessing it's much more expensive with little extra coverage.

I feel it might be both, the grids fluctuate so wildly that there's almost no point to it being an international series since only 10 or so drivers actually run the whole season while everyone else is national series drivers who figured they might as well show up to their home race. The regulations are cool though since manufacturers seem to have taken to them the same way they took to GT3.

Though I did notice they decided to run the first round of the international series the same weekend as the Silverstone 24h touring car endurance race which is using TCR spec cars. That seems like a bad idea.

Hadn't even considered that.

Maybe they should consider making the TCR International a one-off "World Cup" at the end of the season at whichever middle eastern crap hole will host it.

Invite the top 5 that'll come from every regional series, get 40 on the grid.

So somehow the first pole of the BTCC season has amazingly gone to Jeff Smith.

It was a wet/dry qualifying session but it's going to be worrying for Honda.

*Nerd poo poo follows*

Jeff owns his own Eurotech team, running Hondas he's bought from the works team. But their Hondas don't have Honda engines, they're using the series provided Swindon units.

So Honda might not be able to beat a 50 year old CEO using their car with another engine.

Still, at least they're doing well in F1 *

It says something when the baby Ginettas are probably the calmest race of the day.

The ByKolles LOLmobile is only 5 seconds off the best hybrids in practice. Which means they're going to have to find some other way to be the comedy option during the race, that's basically the same speed the Rebellion car had last year.

Not just money, GTE Am classes rules require the car to be at least a year old.

Sophia tweeted 20k, the series then announced 5.
