How are you going to reeducate anyone?

Reeducation isnt an ever-shrinking group of people outside in the cold agreeing with one another.

I think the British left needs to choose its battles and take a hard look at what matters and what is possible. Brits were willing to leave the EU over the issue of immigration. The leave campaign talked a lot of poo poo, but Nigel Farage was not wrong when he said "you can't both limit immigration and remain in the EU." Look what people picked.

You can work xenophobia to your advantage. Blame the tories' friends with their dirty Russian money for the price of housing. Remember, it's a privilege for a foreigner to own property in Great Britaine, make them pay some humongous tax for it.

Messimy pointed out that the two may no longer be synonymous, but his opponents proved immovable. At a parliamentary hearing, a former War Minister, M. Etienne, spoke for France.

"Eliminate the red trousers?" he cries. "Never! Le pantalon rouge c'est la France!"

You don't treat someone with a coping mechanism by removing their coping mechanism and shouting "get over it". You treat it by establishing what the cause of this need is, and remove the coping mechanism only when that cause is dealt with.

I didn't say you should.

Saying "you shouldn't push addictive drugs on people, it's wrong" shouldn't be controversial, even here and even with you.

You can only see unfair treatment if you already have a different impression to contrast it with, and a lot of people won't really have seen anything else. That's partly Corbyn's fault but it doesn't make the treatment any less unfair or inaccurate

Plus it depends on your personal approval - if you don't like someone you're much less likely to be objective and say 'yeah this is unfair treatment'. There's been enough hit pieces (including from within the Labour party trying to sink him) that people think he's an anti-semitic terrorist-lover who wants to destroy Britain's defences and hand over the Falklands etc etc. It's not really surprising people aren't jumping to his defence, if anything it puts his low approval ratings in different light

The infighting and criticism is because he can't get along with his party though, that's on him.
