Arizona Star posted:

The notice of claim alleges, among other things, that Rodriguez and his closest aides followed a “hideaway book” that detailed such sayings as “Title IX doesn’t exist in our office.” Those who had the most interaction with Rodriguez — the former employee and two assistant coaches — referred to themselves as the “Triangle of Secrecy,” according to the claim. The three were charged with lying to Rodriguez’s wife on his behalf, according to the claim.

Yeah he's getting his full buyout, unless they did the same thing to him Michigan did and waited to fire him until after a certain point (likely the first of the year) so his buyout was lower.

Yeah if you fire a coach for cause, you've got to be pretty iron-clad in that cause, and it would vary from case to case based on the coach's contract. It likely specifies criminal conviction as cause, as opposed to criminal investigation, or something along those lines.

Pete Thamel saying Notre Dame will promote LB coach Clark Lea to Defensive Coordinator, with Elko having left for Texas A&M.

Clark did a world class job coaching LBs at BG and Wake Forest. Good on him for getting the promotion.

I doubt it's much of anything. This is the second time in 24 months Pitt has given him an extension, they want him way more than he wants Pitt. They were already paying him peanuts, I doubt they hit him with any meaningful buyout number for whatever moderate bump they gave him which, by the way, happened just about 2 months ago and there's still no actual numbers on it so I'm guessing it wasn't much.

There aren't actual numbers on it because Pitt doesn't have to disclose full contact details if they don't want. They were a private school until the 60s and are now "state-related". They're basically like Temple.

E: Penn State's also state-related but it was a more round-about way of getting them there. Something with land grants that I don't remember exactly.

Tech hired Kevin Johns as OC away from Western Michigan. Don't know if he'll actually call plays or just work on offensive game planning and bring in more running concepts, but that's what it is.

He was OC, QB, and WR coach under Kevin Wilson at Indiana.
